If they are preaching about the love that God showed by sending His own Son to suffer and die on the cross; I rejoice.

What is the problem you guys out there seem to have? Maybe you do not like hearing the truth because you are under conviction?

I am so glad that I heard what Jesus did for me.

A Christian is a person who belongs to Christ. Going to church does not make you belong to Christ, any more than attending the Grand Prix would make you a Ferrari.

People have to hear the message so that they can make their decision. Read Romans chapter ten.

I refuse to apologise for loving Jesus!

However, after saying all that; when sharing the good news about Jesus, it is not right to go out to deliberately offend people. Is it the message or the way it is delivered that you find so offencive?

Note; If you are so much against offending people, why do you take such delight in name calling? I am what you call a Fundie! Which means that I believe in the fundamental truths of the Bible.

Do you read or believe the bible? Do you attend any place of worship? Do you believe in God? If not, why do you ask questions about religion?

Tango youre the biggest preacher against Christians in this joint. Get off your soapbox why dontcha? Come back down to earth and be a decent human.

EDIT: Tango, I am a Christian and am still confused what a fundie is! It seems to be some strange interchangeable item ie. evangelical and fundamentalist. With that said, my point is, you have some sort of deep driving hatred toward whatever your definition of a fundie is. Why do I know this? Because you have a one track mind. Your MO is to go off about fundies and thats it; that is the scope of your being here on R/S! I have opinions as well, however I cant imagine smearing a bunch of other people just because I have them. I guess I dont understand the view that its ok to sit there and bash upon bash a bunch of people you dont personally know; just cause you have a "right" Im serious, is that any way to live your hours of breath you have left? Now, I shall get off my soapbox :)

I don't know what a Bible-fundie is but I avoid people who 'preach' to me. I go to my church for that & I pray. To each his own belief; I resent the implication that my beliefs are wanting & they will show me a better way.

tango, someone told you to be a decent human? LOL! well, who does that person think she is to tell anyone that?

and you're right, Bible-fundies are not Christians. to correct the false notion that Bible-fundies are Christians, I would like to say that Bible-fundies want division within Christianity. they are the biggest Christian basher and the biggest destroyer of Christianity because they are wolves in sheeps clothing.

tango, I support you all the way!!!

If he/she starts saying I'm going to hell for not being his/her idea of a 'Christian' then I'm outta here...

Oh look another one right up there above me, okay... time to turn on my PSP.

blondie - Feel free to believe the Bible any way you want but can ya explain why a lot of fundies I've seen try to shove their beliefs on other people's throats?

I tell them I love Jesus too. :) And if they do not respect that and let it be, then I tell them that I love God and am God-knowing, they are preaching to the choir.

I think how sad that they really think a good person will be condemned to an eternity of burning hell by their God. I could never believe in a God like that.

I get a sense of enjoyment in God's grace, and a feeling of pleasure and gratitude that those blessed, faithful fundies are spreading the good news of salvation in Christ out into the world. God bless you!

Amen and Praise the Lord.

Tango: I don't think you're very happy, as you are always bashing us fundamentalists. Do you even really know what we are or did you just single us out cause you're unhappy?
