Okay, so my friend got me to pick up my guitar that I got over 2 years ago and never played, and I'm allowed to take it to school. What's a good song that's easy to play so I can serenade the pretty girlies in my classes?

You have more to learn than guitar - in case no one has explained, all the "pretty girlies" don't always like the same things. If you have a girl you want to impress, find out more about her, tell her up front that you're a beginner & you would like to learn a song she likes. This will get you MUCH farther than some trick that you may think the fairer sex can't pick up on. Most I've met are MUCH smarter than any of the guys I know!

Though I hate the band you could learn Good Riddance from Greenday. You'll have to learn a few chords to play the later parts of the song but over all it's a good starter song.

Try "I still haven't found what I'm lookin' for" you only need 3 chords: C, G. and D. if you don't know it look it up

Melt with you.

2 chords.

C
I'll stop the world and melt with you
F
You've seen some changes but its getting better all the time
C
There's nothing you and i won't do
F
I'll stop the world and melt with you.

Its the chorus and the lyric. Its the whole song. If you can't do C and F. Do it in A and D, for god's sake... just do it.

Try Come As You Are by Nirvana.

That was the first song I learnt.
I hope the 'pretty girlies' in your class dont fall your little act.

Go back to the sixties .Learn the chord sequence. G Em C D. Then you can sing Unchained Melody form the righteous Brothers. 1st line : "Oh, my love, my darling, I hunger for your touch." If you want to make them laugh, it also works for "Monster Mash" (good for Hallowe'en). Hope this helps.
