In the Bible, who are some of your favorite people? (with the exception of Jesus)
Mine is King David. After all the things he done in his life, he never turned away from God. He was a man after God's own heart.
The one I feel sorry for the most, is Peter. Jesus told him that he would deny Him 3 times and he said he wouldn't, but as we know he did. I can't imagine what he felt like after he realized he did deny Him. Then after Jesus resurrected, in John 21:15-19, Jesus asks Peter if he truly loved Him 3 times. I just can't imagine the pain Peter must have felt.

So, who are some of your favorite people in the Bible?
I don't want any rude and nasty answers please.

In the New Testament it is the Apostle Paul and the Apostle John. Paul knew Jesus like none other and the revelation of Jesus and the wisdom that comes from above gave him a hunger for God even more. He also suffered more than any other New Testament saint. His understanding of what a true Christian is and the working power of God the Holy Spirit is amazing. How grateful I am that God loves us enough to save this man and then guide Him to write two thirds of the New Testament.

The Apostle John who so tenderly loves Jesus wrote that great Gospel of John where he uses the believe in some form or the other (believed, believing, believed not, etc) over 99 times in that one Gospel. He also never used the personal pronoun I in the entire Gospel. What amazing grace!

My favorite Old Testament saint is Daniel. Here is a man who trusted God and his mind was set like a flint not to defile himself. God entrusted Daniel with wisdom, power and the boldness of a lion. He continued to promote him and show Himself great and powerful through this mighty saint of God.

I look forwards to meeting these mighty saints one day in heaven.

King David is also one of my favorites. The boy warrior who grew up into his kingdom.

But I also like his dad, King Solomon. He is said to be the wisest man in the world.......what a burden! Yet, with all his God given wisdom, he still stumbled and fell. How human is that! He had been given seemingly everything, yet he gave in to his own human fleshy desires and lost it all........but hindsight. How many of us can relate to hindsight? It is said that he gave Queen Sheba all that she desired.........what exactly did she desire? There is much room for speculation.

Many of us say that we would not betray God, we would not buckle under pressure, but Job is the only one recorded (other than Jesus) who did not turn from God when times got tough.

Mary....what was it like to be the mother of Jesus? Did she punish Him as a little boy? How could you spank or put the son of God in "timeout"?..........Many bitterweeds have graced my table in the guise of a flower, did she put "holy" bitterweeds upon her dinner table?

Moses. He is the one who had a very heavy work to do.
Can u imagine how he had to bring over 1million people from Egypt to the land he didnt know where, and there were no map on his time. And in the conditions where those people keep sigh and grumble over his face, without seeing how God had made a mighty miracles from the Egypt, when God separate the water in the Teberau sea, and all other miracles.

Naturally above all it's Jesus. But among the regular people, I'd have to say in the OT, it's Moses, while in the New Testament it's Paul!

they are not Jews by way of fact Jew's have not got self belief the messiah has come yet. they have not got self belief Jesus so believing in Jesus and announcing your Jewish of course contradicts one yet another.... it relatively is unhappy that there are those Evangelist Christians that decision themselves "Jews". stop this custom now, your disgracing the two Judaism and Christianity.

I must agree with The Great Crab. I'm not happy with people indulging in commercial advertising in this forum. It doesn't happen that often.
