tell him---at this point it already a sheety situation so even if you do it by letter email or whatever you just need to put it out there so he doesnt waste all his time worrying over you----plus if you have a new guy , it is not a good look to be seen as a liar and a cheater

I'd say it is wrong...no matter how complicated he is it's only going to make it more complicated if he finds out some other way. Be honest and let him know. If you can't face telling him, then send him an email so he can move on and hopefully also find happiness. Good luck!

You could write him a letter. Handwriting is more personal than typing a letter. Just let him know that he's a good person but you have found a "better match" for yourself. There is a song entitled "The pieces don't fit anymore." That describes my own situation. One person goes ahead in life and the other ignores what needs to be changed.

I wish you the best.

You need to tell him the truth. Just say long distance relationships are not for you. You don't have to mention the new b/f. If you don't be honest with him, it might cause you to lose your new friend. If he finds out then he might think you are playing games with both of them.

Tell him asap, the longer you wait the worse it will be. You are in effect wasting his time right now, decency suggests you let him move on to find someone who can love him the way he wants.

Just tell him "I've been seeing someone new and I'm in love with him. Sorry to have to tell you over the phone, but I felt you should know. I hope things work out for you". Be adult about it. Life hurts sometimes. He'll get over it. We all do.

call your ex, tell him that you can't go on with him anymore...so its over...wish him to have good times...and say goodbye.
be sure you sound like you've made up your mind when you talk to him, otherwise he can (i'm not sure, just telling there's a chance) try to convince you to continue the relationship. but don't be rude. be polite with him as you'll be no more together.
wish you all the best.

If you didn't tell him, then you didn't break up with him.

Call him, tell him you found someone else. Otherwise it'll just get more complicated.

Lies are stupid, and just lead to more shouting and screaming and drama, which is fun for no one.

Naw. Not really. At least you broke up with him. Even if he doesn't know I think it's still legally binding. All I ever did was have more girlfriends and if any of the other ones didn't like it they could choose to leave. The decision was theirs. That's the better way to do it.

Umm... you don't break up with someone without telling them. Otherwise its just a "plan to break up with them". Breaking up with someone means telling them you dont want to be with them anymore. So yes, you are wrong for not telling him.
