I'd like to know what so-called Christians these are, and wonder if they have ever bothered reading the Bible.
My Bible says that God created every nation (race, ethnic group) from one man (Acts 17:26). My Bible also speaks highly of a mixed-race man by the name of Timothy, as well as his mother who married outside her race.
In the Old Testament, marrying peoples who were not circumsized was frowned upon, but if a foreigner gave up foreign gods, the males were circumsized, and God was worshipped, then there was no problem and intermarriage was permitted. The issue was not race, but whether or not they worshipped God or foreign gods.
Frowning on different races marrying is from human tradition, not Biblical truth. It is yet another example of Matthew 15:1-9 and Colossians 2:6-23, where people make up their own rules and teach them as if they were Christian doctrine. It is deception and poison to the church of Jesus the Christ and gives God an undeserved bad name. Because of people who teach this "the name of God is blasphemed among the nations" (Romans 2:24).
The division of race is a human idea, as we see various ethnic groups with physical and cultural traits in common, we call them a race. This is completely artificial. And it cannot Biblically limit who marries who.

In a true Christian congregation, Christians aren't taught to "stick to their own race", however, they are encouraged not to "become unequally yoked", meaning not to date someone who is not a Christian.
There might be some legalistic morons who promote only dating within their "race" because in the old testament, God told the Israelites not to intermarry with the pagan cultures around them. This was solely (or at least mostly) to inhibit religious desertion by Israel.
However, in modern, true Christianity, racial differences aren't taught.

Perhaps, spiritual bigotry ? Of course, there can be other justifications for this. But, once God consummates the marriage ... you are married in His eyes.
P.S. "rehelik" If your Pastor told you that ( I doubt it ), you better find another church. This is not compatible with the teachings of Jesus Christ ! "Whites" are not the top "dog" of the human race. (I'm "white" too, by the way !) ALL people are regarded as special in God's eyes and He allowed His one and only Son, Jesus, die for ALL too !!! I think you are trying to taint Christians by saying your "Pastor" told you that.
... Nice try, though !!!

I am a christian and have dated outside my race so your question does not apply to all...when you say " a lot of christians" is it only christians who you have heard with this mentality? I have met many people from all beliefs and non-beliefs that have this same wrong mentality...it is not a christian thing.
why does anyone frown on other races? pure ignorance...saying you love Jesus does not make it true....Only by loving others does a christian prove he/she is a follower of Jesus...He said you will know them by their love! God bless and may you know peace :-)

first of all im white and my family believes the same thing, but i dont think that way and i dont think that we should either.i think the views of inter-racial relationships like that came from the older people in the churchand their views on religion. the newer christians in todays religion dont see a problem with it. I THINK that we are all the same bc think about god, god created ONLY 2 HUMANS and that was it, were did the rest of us come from?? we are all the same in gods eyes and he loves each and every one of us just he same.

If a Christian has this view it is of their own creating as no where in the Bible does it support that idea.

It is all a matter of opinion. It is the same thing with gay marriage. Although the bible is against it, some Church's aren't. It's not a matter of religion, it's more personal beliefs.

Most white people are racists. I advise Muslims not to marry Christian American girls not because I am prejudice or racists but mainly because of different brought up. I have seen too many divorces between Muslim immigrant men and American women because of their brought in two different cultures and religions. Muslim father always looses his children for two reasons.
1. American white Judges in most cases favor white mothers and give more often custody of children to mother's even if Muslim fathers have good income and care a lot for their children.
2. Mother gets custory and in some cases doesn't allow her children to see father. Also because of her control over children she raises children as Christians and father can not do any thing about it.
Most Muslims fathrs give custody of children to mother because of his brought up in Islamic country where Islamic laws allow children to remain with mothers until age 10 (girl) and 12 (boy). These laws were made centuries ago by early scholars of Islam based on the Sunnah and Ahadiths of Prophet of God.
Bases of these laws are that:
1. it is devastating for mother if children are taken from her.
It is also extremely difficult for children to loose their
mother.
2. Secondly by nature mother can love and care to her
children much better than father at young age.
Islamic laws require mother to send her daughter at age 10, and sons at age 12 to their father.
A. After age 12 boy needs father to learn how to be a man
from his father and girl needs to learn her father (a male
figure) which will help her to become good wife in future.
Education and marriages of children is financial
responsibility of father and not the mother.
B. Another reason is that if mother remarrys, her daughter
is nothing to her new husband and he can molest her
which happens a lot in west. Because western mothers
don't give the daughter to father until she becomes adult
even if she marrys. Muslim mother always sends her
daughter to her father's house for her protection, further
education and her marriage by her father. to educate her
and to marry his daughter .
These rules were made by early Islamic scholars based on Prophets instructions. Most Muslim parents follow these rules with out any reservations. Mothers seldom stop children to meet their fathers. Paremts rarely have court cases about child custody in all Muslim countries.

A lot of people, not just Christians, look down upon interracial relationships. And most Christians don't to begin with.
