I live in California, close to the fires, and I've seen the smoke on the horizon. Even though I'm an atheist, but I appreciate your concern, I know some people with relatives in the area. These people are going through a lot right now.

I am lying in bed typing on my computer trying to ignore the smell of the fire that is about 10 miles away in Foothill Ranch and glad that I didnt go to the carwash saturday like I was planning to.
San Diego is getting the worst of it. Focus your prayers there.
Might want to pray that they catch the jerks that started some of these fires. The Orange County one, at least, was arson.

I'm staying awake for a while. I'm not paranoid since I trust God. It smells awful here, though. The ash-filled air really makes my eyes hurt.
I'm prepared to flee my house just in case. We are warned to evacuate when the fire is within five miles or so.

I think they are worrying about the damage being caused but some are grateful to be alive and some are looking out for their neighbors. Then some are looting the remains of the Malibu homes being destroyed.

And their internet connections are down because of the fires which is why they haven't even said good night and I'm lil fraid of the dark :( ... is what I would say if I wasn't a manly man..... my beauty my love!
