"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." (Revelation 3:9)
Here Jesus says the real Jews are HIS followers and the disbelieving Jews are the synagogue of Satan and are NOT THE REAL JEWS.
Jesus also promises the believers (who are now called CHRISTIANS) that the disbelievers (who are now called JEWS) will grovel at their feet as a symbol that Jesus Loves his people.
Hitler stated: "Christ was the greatest early fighter in the battle against the world enemy, the Jews... The work that Christ started but could not finish, I--Adolf Hitler--will conclude."
"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."
Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Ralph Mannheim, ed., p. 65, New York: Mariner Books, 1999
“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther
"And the founder of Christianity made no secret indeed of his estimation of the Jewish people. When He found it necessary, He drove those enemies of the human race out of the Temple of God. ---- Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf, pp.174
Jesus did not call them Abraham's children, but a "brood of vipers" [Matt. 3:7]. Oh, that was too insulting for the noble blood and race of Israel, and they declared, "He has a demon' [Matt 11:18]. Our Lord also calls them a "brood of vipers"; furthermore in John 8 [:39,44] he states: "If you were Abraham's children ye would do what Abraham did.... You are of your father the devil. It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham's but the devil's children, nor can they bear to hear this today.------Martin Luther

The New Testament and the anti-Semitic comments of Martin Luther were used by the Nazis to justify the holocaust.
I would not say, however, that the verses you quoted were a fulfillment of prophecy. We have to remember that when the New Testament was written the Christians were being persecuted by the Romans at the instigation of Jews. Failure to put those passages in the proper historical context is very a dangerous way of interpreting the Bible.
There are many anti-Semitic verses in the New Testament as you have pointed out. That's the problem when everyone tries to interpret the Bible. It becomes a dangerous and controversial book. Jesus appointed only one Church to interpret the Bible and teach the world. That happens to be the Catholic Church.

Perhaps you are right that the Holocaust was some sort of divine punishment, but during the same time period I will remind you that many more millions of Christians died as well. You (nor I) are smart enough to know why God allows such evil and murder to plague this world.
Rather than obsess about converting Jews and reading the disgusting, hate-filled writings of the evil Hitler, why don't you focus on developing your own character and humanity?

No - the Holocaust was not a fulfillment of prophecy. The Holocaust was the crazed policies of a government led by a madman, Hitler.
What kind of crazed neo-Nazi ARE you?
Martin Luther was obviously anti-semitic, as were most people in his culture. That is tragic, that someone who on the one hand was intelligent and had strong faith, on the other hand had personal and sinful prejudices that cast doubt on both his integrity and credibility as a Christian.
Jesus did not call ALL Jews "a brood of vipers." He was only addressing certain religious authorities of his day. The same thing with the other reading you cite.
And the passage you cite from Revelations was written to a Christian church about pretend CHRISTIANS, not Jews. So your question isn't even based upon correct premise or theology.
SHAME on you for using scripture out of context and changing it's intent, and using it to try to give your bigotry credence. You are NOT a Christian, because if you were you would NEVER do such a thing, nor would you HAVE the bias against Jews to begin with.
((If you are Jewish and reading this idiot's post, please don't hold it against all Christians, because most of us do NOT believe as this lunatic does)).

Assalamu alaykum Really each scholar who translated the Qur'an has a slight difference interpretation abou any verse although they have same black hair, each person has different judgement. Among the people of the book are not the same in their opinion Among of them there are Christians and Jews who have strong opinion/conclusion in reciting verses of Allah at night and they always perform sujood or prostration to Allah Jews as people of the book include non zionist jews In Islam we can find different interpretation too so we have many madzhab or Islamic sects after Muhammad pbuh passed away.such Maliki,Syafei etc

wow, you pull up two of the greatest bigots on earth as your evidence for what? for the fact that you hate jews?
Jesus was a Jew, and when he came salvation became available to all people. But God still holds a place in his heart for the children of Israel. Oh, and by the way, those scriptures in Matthew, they are referring to the Pharisees, the people who enforced the Jewish law. I believe today the people who enforce the Christian law in similar ways, and condemn those who sin (everyone) would be the leaders of the Catholic church... here's more proof that Martin Luther didn't know what the heck he was talking about... ALL of the 12 apostles were jews, as were a great majority of the first century Christians. And even though they were alive in Christ, they still held true to many of their Jewish customs. (remember the bickering in the book of Acts over whether or not the converted Christians should be circumsized?)
Jesus said our only real enemy is Satan. to have any earthly enemies is to be decieved by Satan, and to turn from God. It pains him too much to see us pitting ourselves against each other, ones he loves.

First, the answer, then a quick comment. NO Hitler was not the fulfillment of that prophecy.
The prophecy was to a church in Philadelphia. There were many people who claimed to be Descendants of Abraham, and thus have a special claim over this church, but they were not Jewish. Read it in context. this was not a promise about Jews, but rather a promise about people who lied and said that they were.
God has a promise with Abraham's descendants that he has not and will not break. Israel is called the wife of God in the Bible. God will bless those who bless Israel, and curse those who curse her.
Remember, JESUS WAS A JEW. The apostles were Jewish. To the best of our knowledge, the entire Bible was written by Jews. The Virgin Mary was a Jew. To claim that Christianity is anti Jewish is to say that Christianity is anti Jesus. It's ridiculous.

what Hitler said, and what God says are 2 completely different things- I guess Hitler and those who think that Hitler was a true Christian, doing the work of God forgot that Jesus said "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" - God said anyone who destroys my chosen people will be destroyed. When Jesus called people a brood of vipers- He was talking to the hard nosed Pharisees, who were legalistic teachers. Hitler was NOT acting according to God= just because Hitler said he was, does not make it so. Instead of believing what this horrible man said about doing God's work, and that Jesus hated the jews, read your bible , my friend. God bless you

I've wondered about why God would allow it to happen. Somewhere, I believe when Jesus is in front of Pilate, the Jewish in the crowd who want to put Jesus to death proclaim something to the effect that if they are wrong, let the blood be on their hands and the hands of their children. Sorry I'm tired and too lazy to look up and be more specific, but I think this might be related to what you are speaking about.
