I don't know what you mean by "backward karma". Karma is simply a law of material nature, like gravity. Newton's third law states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction; take this to a higher level and it's the law of Karma in a nutshell. Past actions, bad or good, lead to equally bad or good reactions. The things you are experiencing now are more likely than not the reactions of previous lifetimes rather than this one.
In any case, I'll try to answer your question:
First, there is no such thing as luck.
Second, fame is a curse, not a blessing.
Third, seemingly "negative" experiences can be interpreted as blessings if you can perceive them differently. What kind of bad luck are you talking about? Not making enough money? Losing material things? From a spiritual perspective, many things that most people would interpret as "bad" are actually quite beneficial. Your material desires being frustrated or blocked is actually quite to your benefit.
If you're experiencing perpetual "bad luck," as you call it, I can think of two possible explanations. One is that you're simply burning off karma. That is good. The other explanation is that perhaps you're in a rut because there is a lesson life is trying to teach you that you're not getting yet. That's not so good. All I can recommend is to stick it out. The more one can understand that whatever situation they find themselves in is entirely a product of their own past actions, and if they can take responsibility for such circumstances, the more progress they will make.
Cheers!

Sometimes we exist on this earth to learn lessons. If we do not learn our lessons then they are presented in more "meaningful" ways until we either "get it" or move onto our next life. I call it the Cosmic Clue by Four!
Example: for years I knew I needed to slow down and relax. I kept saying, yeah yeah, I know...in a minute. Well, I kept getting signs and I kept putting it off until WHAM the cosmic clue by four smacked me upside the head. I ended up falling down a flight of stairs and breaking my leg severely. 2 plates and 13 screws to hold together a 7 inch area of my leg! Not fun but I def HAD to slow down.
My point is, ask yourself what all the signs point to with this luck you are having- or lack there of. I have seen that it is often because we do not learn and continue down the wrong path that we are in the situations we find ourselves in and not because some unseen force is trying to punish us.

i think of that "karma" is a be conscious for the way human beings would be standard in common Society. once you're a malicious guy or woman then human beings might tend to sidestep you, yet on the different hand once you're a gregarious guy or woman, then human beings will opt to socialise with you. in my view i think of if i do no longer piss you off, you will have not have been given any reason to piss me off, and we are able to the two be happy with the area. yet additionally "stuff" happens and persons merely might desire to handle it and quit complaining. if there's a concern attempt to repair it, in case you could no longer, discover help. and if all else fails, i assume we knuckle below and circulate slowly (that's what the gov. might want)

It's still just karma, nothing backwards about it. You need to look at what you're doing and take action to rectify it.

Karma is karma.
There is good karma and there is bad karma. Luck has nothing to do with it.
