I did get disability for a couple months. I have to pay $6,700 in property tax. Just wondering what will happen in April. in CA

Why do you think that you should get money back? You did not work this year, so you won't be able to claim property taxes as itemized deduction, even if you pay the property tax in 2007.
If you owe any property tax you have to pay it.

Property tax has nothing to do with income levels. If you make NOTHING in a given year, you still owe the full amount of property tax on the real estate involved.

You may use this property tax expense as an item for itemized deductions on your tax return.

Property tax is based on the value of the property. You will get nothing back. You will owe an installment of property tax that must be paid by April 10. If you have not worked, you will owe no income tax, have no withholding so be entitled to no refund.

Property tax has no bearing on Income tax-other than as an itemized deduction. Income tax is Federal. Property tax is county.

In Ohio, your property tax bill is based on the valuation of the
property you own; your income is immaterial. I would assume
that it's the same in California. You will have to pay.
