Al Gore argues through and through that global warming is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately, however he continues to pay $1200/month for electricity, when the average person pays around $120 and he also is seen in his documentary riding in an SUV and a luxury car and in a private jet. Does this seem a little hypocritical to you?

For those who claimed that he is paying more because of solar panels, the information that i got is from the Nashville electric company, and unless Nashville uses solar electric, which i don't think it does, then he is still paying this much for non renewable engergy. It's in the USA Today. check it out

I'm sorry, but Fox News is hardly a credible source. It's a propaganda machine. His electric bill was just under $3000 per month. Keep in mind, he owns a bigger home that requires round the clock security. Remember, he's the former vice president. He can't live in a hut. Also, he buys green energy which cost a lot more than standard energy. He also DOES buy the carbon offsets. Those companies have all confirmed his purchases. Try researching something other than Fox News next time you come out calling somebody a hyporcrite. And on a related note. With all the evidence that has come out in support of global warming, and just the possibility it could be real, why not err on the side of caution? The world can only benefit from better uses of our national resources and enviromental standards. Why is everyone on the right so defensive when it comes to this issue?

Not hypocritical at all.

Here's why:

First--the supposed electricity bills are an outright lie concocted by a right-wing group.. Al Gore's house is powered by solar panels.
Second, There are places where using an Suv is appropriate--like off-road conditions. Where they don't make sense is running around an urban environment--which is 99% of what they are used for.
Third, Al Gore CAN'T fly commerial. has it ever occured to you he has to travel with a Secret Service team for the rest of his life? If he tried to take a commercial flight, he'd disrupt the whole airport.

If Al Gore was serious about reducing CO2 emmissions, he could start by using a commercial airline. What's wrong with first class air travel? It's quite good enough for most royalty, oil rich sheiks and world leaders. Apparently he needs a private jet for his photo opportunities

Al Gore, 1960's " hyppie ", 21st century hypocrite. And to " dragonheart ": If I was gonna live in a mansion like he does, I certainly wouldn't travel the world preaching to others that they should conserve. What kind of an idiot are you anyway?!!! Obviously, just another misinformed young person who is blindly helping to bring America to its knees.

Of course he is a hypocrite. If he cared about global warming, he would set the example, wouldn't he? Or is that just for the rest of us? Definition of hypocrisy in the Gore Dictionary: Telling people one thing and doing another, as long as you consider the people to be stupid.

Yes he slows down a whole lot when it comes to actually do something about it. But I think he is counting on us to do all the sorting through the trash for bits and pieces to recycle.
Hanging our clothes out on the line to avoid the dryer and all the other knic knac stuff so he can continue to live in the manner he has become accustom.

HE IS A GREAT GUY. HE NEEDS SOME FACILITIES FOR HIMSELF BECAUSE HE IS ON WORK AND HE IS DOING SOMETHING FOR THE EARTH SO JUST GIVE HIM THE BENIFIT OF RIDING A SUV MATTER OF FACT I RIDE A SUV TOO. HE USES ENERGY SAVING APPLIANCES LIKE SOLAR PANALS AND STUFF TOO.HE ISNT A HYPOCRITE SERIOUSLY HE IS DOING SOMETHING TO TELL AND KEEP THE WORLD INFORMED BUT WELL SOME REPUBLICANS MIGHT NOT LIKE IT BUT LOOK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE IN IRAQ AND IF THEY "TRY TO" REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING THEY WOULD PROBABLY PISS THEIR OIL-DEALER BUDDIES OFF CAUSE THEY RELEASE MILLIONS OF TONNES OF C02.
AND REPUBLICANS WOULD RATHER DEPEND ON CHRISTIANITY RATHER THAN SCIENCE
