Oh yes, of course. There is no political correctness in Christian theology.

Actually the key is in the word, "religious", the division is actually between those "who have religion before God" and those, "who actually have a relationship with Him." The Bible states what we as christians ought to be willing to fight for and we, in general, have failed to stand up for what the bible clearly commands, Prayer [in school, for instance], the word [also forbidden in schools], homsexuality as the abomination it is clearly taught to be in the bible [Rom. 1 Cff]. But the ones with religion [instead of a relationship with their Maker] have decided to hate the homosexual instead of the homosexuality. (I only use this as an example) Jesus on the other hand would have loved them [in the purest sense] despite their sin with the intention of them repenting and coming to knowledge of the truth.
Conclusion? The, "right" so-called, should weigh their motives against those of their Messiah.

those "values voters" vote on the basis of their narrow bigoted agenda. they don't care if the candidate they vote for has only two brain cells to rub together as long as he promises to curtail women's right and keep gay folks in the closet. their goal is an American Christian theocracy with themselves as the elite ruling class.
