Koran
33 The clans
33:59 O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

Bible
St. Paul, 1 Cor 11, 3-16]
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord. For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

Nothing. They both put down the woman. No matter for what reason they make the woman sub servant to the man.

Sorry any religion that puts down another human is not a religion but an ideological document.

humans are equal. gods do not live on this earth. Let man lead his on destiny with out hurting, harming or controlling another human.

Those verses are similar. They are both about women covering their heads. That's what women did during that period of history. I believe the reason those verses are similar is because the person that wrote the Koran copied verses from the Bible. There is a Jesus in the Koran, but the Koran describes Jesus as a Muslim. However, the Bible describes Jesus as a Jew that lived in Israel. There's nothing about Israel in the Koran, and the Koran was written hundreds of years after the Bible. I think someone simply copied some of the verses from the Bible and made a book called the Koran. Basically, what it amounts to is that you only have the Law if you do not have the Son of God. Women in Muslim societies are still trying to obey a law that was written hundreds of years ago. There are all kinds of laws in the Old Testament of the Bible too, but you understand how to interpret those laws when you receive the Son of God into your heart. That's why every Christian woman does not cover her head in public. That's why every Christian man does not have a beard. Yet, people are discriminated against in Muslim societies if they do not obey every law in the Koran.

Muhammed is telling the Muslim women to dress modestly amongst starangers so they could know she was a Muslim and they would not approach her . In todays world I think a simple symbol on a chain around the neck should be enough .
St.Paul is saying very different . That woman is subservient to man and must please him . And God will be pleased with the woman if she covers her head to honor the man . But the man shouldn't cover his head because he was created more like God and having his head uncovered gives honor to God . Whole bunch of nonsense if you ask me .

One.. The Bible was Completed 600 years before Mohammad came along with his " Own" version. One is Inspired of God. The other ( Quran) as The Apostle John warned: “Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.” (1 John 4:1) The Apostle John was Very specific about " False Prophets"..so there you have it.

If you read "The Message" translation, in modern language and syntax, it is easier to understand. "The Message" retains the meaning of the original language. I can't paste it here because I try to obey copyright laws. But you can find it easily at www.biblegateway.com

In reading that translation, the difference between these two readings is apparent.

There is similarity in the message to cover the head of ladies but in other contents it is totally reverse.

1) Quran is word of God in his own exalted narration.

2) Saint Paul was a common Jew working as an officer with Roman government. His name was Saul and he adopted to Paul to mingle with Romans. Being a racist Jew he always tortured Jesus with his believers. But when Jesus descended to heavens, he claimed that he has seen visions of the Lord (some believe Jesus while other say Satan) telling him to give new ideas to humanity. Then by following that order he made a preaching totally different than Jesus and his true apostles. Later only he remained prominent because Romans unluchily found him more correct and near to their old belief in Pantheon of Roman Gods. Now all christianity is following him instead of poor prophet Jesus.

The first was for their own protection (as men would get aroused by looking at them).

The second was for honoring God and showing respect to men according to the culture prevalent those days.

The message mentioned have similarity in case of covering head but other contents are different.

1. Quran is word of God in his exalted narration.

2. Saint Pauls words are words of a sage of a tribe, who was a strong enemy of his leader and when he died (ascended to heavens as per Quran) he declared that he was God.

The difference is Christ. Muslims might call Jesus the Christ, but they don't believe a word he said!

MIRA, AMIGO, EN EL EVANGELIO NO HAY DIFERENCIA ENTRE HOMBRE Y MUJER. DICE EL APOSTOL PABLO QUE EN CRISTO NO HAY HOMBRE O MUJER, SINO QUE TODOS NOSOTROS SOMOS UNO EN EL SEÑOR.

EN EL EVANGELIO NO HAY DIFERENCIA ESPIRITUAL PARA CON EL HOMBRE O PARA CON LA MUJER. AMBOS TIENEN LAS MISMAS PROMESAS HECHAS POR DIOS. EL SEÑOR NOS AMA A NOSOTROS TODOS, YA SEA QUE SEAMOS HOMBRES O QUE SEAMOS MUJERES. EL SEXO EN EL SER HUMANO NO IMPORTA EN EL EVANGELIO DE CRISTO. SÓLO IMPORTA CREER EN EL SEÑOR Y EL SERVIRLE A ÉL

LOS MUSULMANES COMETEN UNA INJUSTICIA AL COLOCAR A LA MUJER EN UNA POSICION SIN PRIVILEGIOS Y DERECHOS, ESO ES UN PECADO DELANTE DEL SEÑOR. TODOS NOSOTROS, HOMBRES Y MUJERES, SOMOS IGUALES DELANTE DE LA LEY CIVIL Y TAMBIEN DELANTE DE LA LEY ESPIRITUAL DE EL EVANGELIO.
