You are kidding, right? Gun laws are even more restrictive in Mexican than say in... California. You can go to prison for possessing ammunition in Mexico if you are not a citizen. You can go to prison in Mexico for possessing anything they consider to be a 'military caliber' and that is according to their interpretation. You go to prison in Mexico for possessing anything they consider useful for over-throwing the Mexican government and that includes sound suppressors. Good luck buying a gun silencer in Mexico!

I have no idea if silencers or suppressors are legal in mexico, but i do know that if you buy one there and bring it back to the USA, you're breaking several federal laws, the least of which will cost you 25000 in fines and jail time. Our laws are here for a reason, and circumventing them in order to illegally acquire a silencer is a great way to go to prison.

Gun laws are virtually irrelevant in Mexico. Nobody follows them because nobody enforces them. If you can find a suppressor that doesn't blow up in your face, have your fun down there, and don't bring it back across the border. Sell it back to someone else or throw it away. If they find it, you'll be in a load of trouble.

Stay out of mexico; what passes for law enforcement there is just organized goons and thieves as opposed to the unorganized goons and thieves; all of whom have gune. The poor citizens and visitors are just victims waiting to happen.
