????

I'm not sure exactly what you were asking, but I will try to answer it.

America bailed out of the Vietnam War, leaving the South Vietnamese to survive or die on their own. We had militarily won the war, but the public was tired of it. Many Americans feel today the Vietnam War was a mistake.

I don't happen to agree on that. I do think we needed a more decisive approach to prosecuting the war than we used. The public supported the war as long as they had confidence in how the U.S. was handling it. Once that confidence was eroded we had no way to win--even though tactically and strategically we had won.

How did the war influence the war, after the war ended? It got peaceful.
