Go for it! She is 26 and of "legal age" so her parents should stay out of what she is doing.
If you two have a lot in common and enjoy one another's company I see no problem.
My great grandfather married a 26 yr old woman when he was 52. She was the younger sister of his first wife who had died.
I also have friends who he was over 20 years younger than she and they married and are having a great life together.
Don't let age be a deciding factor, let desire to be together be the guide....good luck

I really find this ridiculous and any 21 year old that is interested in a 51 year old has serious problems.
Just because you can it does not mean you should. You probably have children older than her.
I think she is thinking ... give him 15 years of my life and I will be set by the age of 45 (him dead and me with all his money)

Hmmm...I too am in the same sort of boat as you. I like someone who is 50 and I am 24...so I can totally relate to the questions you ask. Perhaps instead of asking these questions, though, you should ask her how she feels about you and a relationship with you. Best wishes to you!

you are the only one who can justify an answer here. How does she feel? you said it was a brother sister thing which to me points more in the direction of staying good friends. why risk a good thing? Then againg we take risks every day so follow you intitial feeling, they are rarely wrong.

You need to ask her how she feels about this. This discussion is between both of you.
