Try Shea Butter - works for me. It's much better than just normal lotion.

Get some old tights that you don't wear any more. Cut the feet off of them and then cut at about the knee. Get lots of lotion and slather it onto your elbows, there is no such thing as too much! Pull the tights up over your elbows and sleep in them. When you wake up in the morning your elbows should be soft and smooth! You can do the same thing over your knees, also using tights except using the top half instead of the bottom. If this does not work, see a dermatoligist.

Elbow are the ugliest part of our body. They are dry and sometime scaly. This winter put baby oil into your bath water or put Avon Skin so Soft. I know this will help. And if you want them to stay very very soft, wrap a rag as in towel and sleep with it like that over night, next morning you will have movie star elbows. This works on hands. Also, in any case you can put Vaseline which will reach the part of the skin to produce a much softer feel the next day.
Good luck,
Mary
1st put Kerrie hand cream on you hands and wrap a cotton wrap around it. For hand, rub the vaseline where you want to and you will have a solf body.

The petro-chemicals could be making the problem worse.

This will solve the problem. Go to a natural food store. Purchase coconut oil or shea butter.

Rub some on after every shower, and an additional two or three times a day.

Your dry skin problem will be gone in less than a week.

Enjoy!

The problem you have is somewhat diet related, Up grade your diet and the problem will slowly clear up.

But I found a lotion that completely cleared up my problem spots it's call "Gloves in a bottle" It's fairly new and hard to find, you can contact me and I'll send you a sample.

Or call shops that sell needle work and fabric. A lot of the needlework crafts persons like it because it treats their skin without being greasy. I love the stuff. It's for hands, but I use it on arms, legs, face, etc.

lots of creams dry fast because they have alcohol in them, check the back of the product your using. My son has the same problem with the exception its on the pads of his fingers. We found that his teachers were making him use hand sanitizers which of course contained alcohol. We also learned from a dermatologist that many creams and lotions have alcohol in them and alcohol dries the skin out even though you think its conditioning it.

You may also want to try a cream without alcohol in it and then cover it with a piece of seran wrap for 15 to 20 minutes to keep the moisture in. We have to get laytex gloves for my son so that we slather his hands in the cream, put on the gloves and then he sleeps in them with a cotton pair over the laytex. Its not fun for him but at least his fingertips dont end up bloody stubs anymore. Try duracream or uddercream or bag balm, none of those have alcohol.

Exfoliate in the shower! You can buy really great deep cleaning exfoliaters. That is dead built up skin and exfoliater is really rough and gritty like sand. It is amazing it will rub all that dead skin off and leave smooth silky skin behind. Bath and body works makes some amazing exfoliaters..give it try you will be amazed.

Try applying Vaseline to your elbows and knees after your shower or bath before you go to bed in the evening. My roommate does that and it has helped hers greatly.

What you have is called psoriasis. You need to see a skin doctor. Lotion is not going to help.
