We just went to Universal last week. And yes you can cover it in one day, a long day, but its very do-able. Two days would be too long and you would duplicate things

No, you need at least two days to cover the entire City Walk area plus the Universal Studios Theme Park tour. There is a lot to see. Plan on spending way to much money.

Yes 1 day should be plenty. I suggest you go on the studio tour when you get there.
You can see Wisteria Ln(aka Desperate housewives set) the Bates motel set , the set of jaws, the War of the Worlds set, etc. Also , a word to the wise, the line may be long to go on the tour so get there as fast as you can and when the tour cars come you have to get in where you fit in.
Enjoy.

No, because there is so much to it that it would probably take a good two or three days to see everything. I went on a class trip in '91 to Disney World and it included just one day at Universal. This was back when it opened and we got to see alot but not everything. Since then there's been so much added to it that it would take more than one day to see everything.

Yes if it's during the week and a time when kids are in school. Most of the parks in SoCal you can do a full day.
