He did experience hell, that is, separation from God when He cried out "My God, my God why hast Thou forsaken me"!
And no, He did not go anywhere except the grave when He was dead.

The New Testament says that Jesus did go to hell during the 3 days before he was resurrected. It says he preached to those who died before he came and explained what God was doing to them. I'm not sure if they got to choose Jesus then or what? But, Jesus went to hell, only hell couldn't contain him past the third day!!!!
Is this your only real question concerning Jesus?
There is so much fascinating stuff about Him, He was so cool, you just haven't had a chance to see the real Jesus. Most people think they have trouble with Jesus when the real problem is with bad examples of faith in Christ from unloving jerks who say they are Christians, but act like satan.

The Bible says Jesus went to Hades for 3 days to preach to the sainst there.
Hades has 3 compartments. Hell and paradise, or also known as Abraham's bosom, and separating these 2 is a great pit.
All the Old Testament sainst went to paradise when they died. After the 3 days he took them to heaven.

So many of the answers so far make reference to the bible but Jesus wasn't included in the bible till forty years after his death. Then the information relied on the memories of others not actual accounts. The recorded writtings of his time were ordered to be destroyed by the high priests. Just to mention his name meant arrest and jail. Even Jesus's family changed their name a fled the country. So, to say at the time he made it to heaven(the highest reward) would have detrimental to your health. Whether he made it to heaven or not is anyones guess.

A lot of possibilities can sprout in the mind of a person - possibilities, impossibilities, craziness...
The Apostles' Creed mentioned about Jesus descending into hell and in the third day rose again from the dead. Christ did carry our sins into Himself and paid them Himself so that we will be made righteous and justified of our sins. He was made to suffer every possible way for the account of sin. One such suffering is going away from the presence of God (hell). Once suffered, God raised Him up to glory and became the 'first fruit' of all those who surrender themselves to God.

He did go to hell and preached to those who died before he was born, He also retrieved the keys and then He rose on the third day, remained on earth for another 40 days and then He along with those He preached to in hell ascended to heaven. He went to hell so you would not have to

Yes, according to scripture he descended into Hell during the three days between crucifixion and resurrection. He didn't end up there permanently, though.

He did go to hell. It's in the bible.
Matthew 12:40: "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

JESES RESURRECTION GIVES THE NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH
Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 2:28 Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
JESUS AND THE HEAVEHLY FOR THE EARTHLY AND ALL MADE NEW
Rev.3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

According to what I learned, he did go to hell, to free all the souls. Up until then, everyone had just gone to hell. But, after that, everyone went to heaven, I guess.
