Just to be careful, by "glass of whiskey" I will assume we are talking about a couple ounces. Having from 2 to 3 drinks of alcohol a day (each being about 1 to 2 ounces when we are talking about whisky, or 2 to 6 ounces total in a day) are unlikely to have any ill health effects. In fact, to the extent they help you relax, you are likely to benefit from the reduced stress level. Just watch that you don't start to have more and more each day...

How big a glass? I'm assuming we're talking like 2-3 oz here, shot or two about.

In that case, there's a debate about whether the health benefits of drinking red wine are caused by the red wine or the alcohol. If its the alcohol (which I tend to think is largely responsible), then a glass (2-3oz) of whiskey 3-4 times a week should be somewhat beneficial.

If you exceed that amount it is generally detrimental.

Most likely none. Enjoy the psychological effects of being able to unwind from the stress of work. Just don't overdo it. If you're doing it every night you've probably developed a dependency and need to find another way to deal with stress.
