I didn't think i was, but i was looking up info and found that i am in the direction of becoming bulimic. I throw up about once a day and i've been doing that for about 2-3 weeks. At first i just wanted to lose weight then it spiraled. I go through these bouts of eating and eating thing like pies, cookies, pizza, and drinks, then i feel fat and disgusting but i can't stop. I eat sooo much then i throw it up to feel better about it. I feel bad cuz i am wasting food. I'd rather not eat anything. I would be saving my parents from grocery shopping as much. goodness.

I dunno why i wrote this. maybe cuz i am anon. and no one knows me here. i safe to say whatever. I don't want to get fat. If i had a flat stomach and no love handles, i'd be content.
I don't know what to do.

The answers I've seen so far are either somewhat insensitve or potentially dangerous, such as the answerer who suggested you eat, and then go exercise. This is simply another form of purging and will, in time, become addictive. I speak from experience. I am bulimic and exercise excessively.

Eating disorders often start off innocently enough. Mine began as a simple change to eating healthier and exercising more. As the pounds melted off, I became obsessed and eventually had to seek treatment, but not before I harmed my heart, my bones, and my fertility.

I urge you to go to your doctor and tell him your signs and symptoms. If s/he doesn't refer you to a psychiatrist, or at least a therapist, seek one out yourself. Since you don't sound too serious, you'll be treated as an outpatient, with counseling and nutritional therapy. It's a pain in the neck and scary, but in the end it's worth it. You learn how to maintain a healthy weight, look great, and feel great, too.

Talk to your parents, also. It's a tough thing to bring up. Expect that your parents may get angry or may withdraw from you for awhile. This is natural. Mom did this to me. It was a week before she sat down with me and we discussed a plan of attack. Your parents may cry or treat you differently. Realize that this, too, is also normal. From there point of view, they wonder where they went wrong, and they're worried that they won't be able to help you.

Good luck!

Honey, I'm 56 and 208 lbs. If I thought that I'd lose weight that way, I'd have taken that route before I was 20, at 160 lbs. I'm so proud of you that you're concerned. You wrote here because you have stuggled with what to do, by yourself, and just can't find the answers! Just maybe, you've asked your best friend and you don't know what to do, still.
That is normal and your feelings are normal! You're great, do you know that?!!

Just once, ask your doctor about this to help you out. The doctor should keep your issue confident. If you can't do that, at least call someone on a 'crisis line' and discuss this with them. You, by doing this, aren't doing a 'diet' any good. You are damaging your body instead of being healthy!

I've been trying to eat as a vegetarian and it IS helping! If you don't choose to speak w/someone real soon, at least try to find some alternative eating habits, what can it hurt?

Try to search out some healthy alternatives on a vegetarian website, to eat meals that will fill you up and give you snacks, too! Try, once in a while at least, to have that smaller slice of pie or fewer cookies, but follow it up with a nice big apple, other fruit or liquid drinks like a smoothie or juices. Eat a smaller slice of your favorite pizza, but have a super nice salad to counter-balance your hunger. Understand? :-)

The physical and psychological damage to your body and mind are going to create other damages to your body. I don't think that you are aware of that, are you? Please don't damage yourself! The action alone of throwing up hurts your internal organs. So, to sum it up, make your stance to speak w/someone and do those little changes in your eating habits to help get your self the cravings and do it sensibly!
Much love to you and best wishes! Be proud of yourself!

STOP IMMEDIATELY!!!!

It's just going to spiral more and more out of control. Don't think about saving money for groceries, you NEED food, no matter what the cost.

If you're having trouble stopping, get help immediately. Tell someone, call a hotline, a counselor, etc. If it spirals out of control for a prolonged amount of time, it will guaranteed take a toll on your body and hurt you, or kill you.

Get help, and if you still are uncomfortable with your weight/appearance, seek help from a nutritionist. Get help with how to eat healthy so you can be HEALTHIER AND HAPPIER, don't become too enveloped in weight concerns.

Everyone has issues with their weight, but I don't want you to become incredibly sick or dead, even though I don't know you. Please get help as soon as possible. Think of some good qualities of yourself, and how much better you are than bingeing and purging.

I cannot stress how important it is to get help, and I really hope you do. I hope this helps!!

well theres a lot of ways that you can lose weight with out having to throw up or even starve yourself...actually starving yourself can make you gain more than actually lose weight. One thing i recomend is try to get at least three meals....dont have to be huge meals.....down. Resist the urge of going to throw it up. Do this for about a week to get your body nourished. Then start walking in the morning. Get up early...and go walk, or find some type of pysical excersice you can do . Telling someone you trust what is going on can also help you fight the urge to throw up that food in the first week..ask them to watch you....let them know that you need support. Remember to eat to be healthy, not to satisfy hunger...that also helps in making choices for food

YOU NEED TO STOP!!! That is a serious thing you have started and before you really hurt your body and self you need to get help... I know society puts a huge burden on women and their body but everyone is beautiful in their own way... I would rather you eat like that then go do some sit-ups or run a few miles but please stop making yourself throw up...

That's called binging and purging, and yes, that's bullimia. What's more important however, is how you feel about yourself. If you are interested in getting help for this or recovering, you might want to see a therapist. They have people who specialize in eating disorders.

If you need to talk, seriously message me. I've never recovered, but I might be able to help some.

One thing that people don't think about when they are puking is that you are exposing your teeth to stomach acid. This will cause your teeth to decay fast and your mouth will be taking everybody’s attention off your body and they won't notice if you are skinny or fat.. they'll just be looking at your rotten teeth and going.. ewwww...
