Maybe not this soon. Just don't let three days become four, five, six, seven... If you are going to drink, you should drink in moderation. Ask yourself why you have started drinking in the first place. Make sure you're not drinking to fill a void. Remember that no alcoholic ever had intentions of becoming one themselves. Be careful!

it is possible to be an alcoholic w/o ever having a drink. Alcoholism is a disease which can be passed on generation to generation, or sometimes skip generations. Neither of my parents are but I am one. My grandfather was one. I have not had a drink in 60 days (not a huge accomplishment yet, but I am working on it). But to answer your question, it's possible.

Not yet. lol .... But I recently saw a tv program where they were talking about drug and alcohol addictions. They showed a study that says 1 out of every 5 people who drink will develop a problem and then asked if you had a dog that bit 1 in 5 people who'd you keep it?
All things in moderation is my motto.

yes it is. it doesn't matter how often, how much, or how long you've been drinking, a true alcoholic cannot stop completely. there are heavy drinkers, getting drunk on a regular basis for years, that are not alcoholics; and there are people like me, who are alcoholics, yet never had more than 2 drinks, once in a blue moon.

If you long to drink and can't do without it, you are an alcoholic.

I am now long since divorced and living better off without him...

Depends on your predisposition and genes, some people are simply allergic to alcohol and have rather strong reactions to the smallest amount, and alcoholism can run in families, its been well documented!

You are not an alcoholic. You could become one if you don't slow down, but everyone has had binges when they first drink.
Just be safe... PLEASE!! You are not the only one on the road!
