Dogs eat grass to vomit.

I take my dog to the vet, but not everytime she vomits. usually they vomit when they get a hold of something and eat grass to help their tummy.

One time my daughters balloon animals began disappearing and it was my dog popping them and eating them (caught her in the act). keep an eye, check her stomach (my neighbors dog ate a piece of thread, and it severed its intestine and died), and if she seems ok, then she probably got into the garbage or found something to snack on, check her stool for evidence
.
dogs get into stuff, we don't have 24 hour ER emergency rooms in the country, sometimes we just have to rely on common sense, if your still worried about your pet, call the vet in the morning.

What are you, some kind of a fruitcake? Just what do you expect unqualified strangers miles away who have never even SEEN your dog, let alone examined her, to do? Take her to the vet! And stop whining. There are ER vets open when regular vets are not. Vomiting could be caused by ingesting poison, an allergic reaction, or something simple as a stomach upset. But if you had any brains you wouldn't wait. Time is of the essence if it's poison and the difference between life and death. So stop sniveling. If you're so "concerned" why are you wasting time on the computer?! To the vet.

It depends on the situation. If the dog is whelping a litter of pups or a cat has a little diarhhea then the first option would be to handle it at home to see if the situation gets better. And while waiting people can ask other pet owners if they have any ideas on how to deal with the problem and ask for general advice. If it doesn't get better then the next option is the vet. Some people do have a few hum dingers on here, but for the most part the questions are good, valid ones.

Oh thank goodness she's ok. My prayers are with you. God bless you heart. Oh they eat grass when their stomach is upset. Be sure to take a fresh sample of stool into the vet. Could be a sign of worms. The vet can give you the right worm medicine she needs. I know it sounds gross. Sometimes you can see them in her stool if she has them bad enough. Most over the counter wormer's don't work . Good luck to you. I don't think she had a stroke, she had grass in her vomit meaning she has an upset stomach. Nor is it Distemper she would have bloody stool. She is fine it sounds like worms to me.

Her vomiting probably affected a nerve and now her leg twitches, or maybe she just feels nervous or uncomfortable about vomiting all over. Sounds like she'll be okey though!

It's impossible to take care of your situation through this site. Vomiting can cause some serious dehydration. Take your baby to the doctor.

Be sure she has lots of access to water until you get her to the vets.

Was she outside or inside when it happened? There is a possibility of a snake bite if she was outside. I would keep a watch on her and maybe give her a small dose of benadryl in case she is having an allergic reaction to something. Otherwise, if she gets worse, you should take her to a vet.

your best bet is to get a doctors diagnosis. it could be numerous things. ask a doctor 1st but i would give my dog like tylenol when they had pain it worked just crunch it in there food and also for the vomiting one of my dogs had parvo he was a pit we gave him childrens pedialyte it worked instantally cause he was so dehydrated. but consult a vet first.

Maybe she ate something that is poisonous to her - like chocolate, grapes, mushrooms, etc. It could also be arthritus or muscular dystrophy. I'd take her to a vet or call your vet as soon as you can.
