Decode this?

Question

Someone falls for someone else. Then they start becoming abusive. Im talking majorly mentally, emotionally, psychologically abusive to this person who they know feel they have won over. Eventually you get sick of it, you tell them im done giving a damn about you and they respond with ha ha, people like you never stop caring. What were they trying to say by that last line? Do they actually think that I would never stop caring about them despite being mistreated or are they hoping i wont so they can keep abusing me?

I think it is OK to have feelings for someone you can no longer be with because they are abusive. Feelings are not something you turn off and on like a water faucet.

Take that last statement as a compliment that people like you never stop caring oh so your not a cold hearted witch. I think of worse things you could be. Sounds like this person is going to miss YOU and is to stubborn to admit it. I say it is their loss not yours.

maybe in their own way they were saying "I think you care enough to help me get some help to stop abusing you, cause I don't really want to, I just don't know how to stop." Ormaybe they really are just a bully who thinks they can get away with it. They do need professional help, and letting yourself be stuck as a co-dependant isn't helping you or them, You have a right to stick by your guns. (whether or not you stop caring has nothing to do with it)

I take it as the person has a major superiority complex and is so controlling that the person views those he/she feels are weaker than he/she are sniveling, needy little fools who can't stand up for take care of themselves. Personally, people like that generally need to be neutered (or the female equivalent if he's a she), and the 'sniveling' meak one ROCKS for finally taking a stand! :)
