Really I believe that some do change. With time and life, no one knows what will happen. People do change over time.

Of course. Christians become Atheists. Atheists become Christians. It doesn't matter - it goes both ways. I think that being brainwashed from birth makes me want God to be real. But wanting it doesn't make it so. Daniel Dennett, (Professor of Philosophy, and Director of the Center for Cognitive Studies at Tufts University) wrote an interesting paper on this very topic when he underwent a risky surgery on his heart. As long as they "want" to remain an Atheist they will be when they become elderly.

The only time an Atheist is not an Atheist is when they believe and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Are you wondering if, perhaps, when an Atheist turns 60, they suddenly start believing?

I remained an Atheist throughout my military service and I see no reason why old age would make me superstitious. Just because you have an unreasonable fear of death doesn't mean everyone else does.

Well, considering how I was raised, an equivalent would be like asking do Jewish people still not believe in Santa when they are elderly?

I have yet to meet someone that was publicly calling them self an atheist that changed their mind. I'm sure it happens, but it has to be pretty rare.
