Whenever my dog is in his kennel, he always licks himself like crazy. He licks all over his legs, inside and outside, as swell as his paws. What is the cause and how can i get him to stop??? Thanks for any help!

Sounds like it might be a food allergy or something.. vet would be able to help you find out for sure.. There are many books out there on dog health and symptoms of diseases and problems.. There is a book by Jack Inoff that would be good.. Helps you decide if you should go to the vet, or if you can treat the dog yourself.. You should go to the vet tho and find out if your dog is allergic to his food maybe and switch to a quality kibble.

You might try a fan to keep some air moving through the kennel. Cats and dogs lick themselves to keep cool. Maybe he's just hot in there.

It could be boredom - or it could be allergies. Is the kennel located on carpeting or grass or something that could be irritating him?
