Since many atheists have read the bible, I'm going to interpret your question to mean "why are there more atheists here than believers?" People who have faith would be less likely to visit Yahoo answers and ask questions to the general public. They would pose those questions to members or leaders at their place of worship. Questioning faith is against the nature of having faith. Atheists are more open to other interpretations of how we got here, why we are here, and where we are going.

Bible readers? Do you mean Christians? I've been called a bible thumper before in that tone, but never a bible reader...hmmm...that's an improvement......I don't think there are more atheists here,,,it just seems like it, the way they line up one behind another to say the same lame things about God on every post a Christian makes...

Odd, it seems to me that most atheists *are* bible readers.
That's how they became atheists.

i don't think there are!! i think the atheist are just more vocal and many people who do read and study the bible , do not care to debate the topic to close minded people,that's all!

You have some people who just want to stand out. They say they are atheist, but let them come to a life and death situation, and listen to them call on God. Some people just like to show off. Gods going to show off oneday to, when He puts them in hells tormenting fire.
