Well I've never gone door to door, I've never handed out pamphlets or cards, I've never preached on a street corner or beach boardwalk, I've never pushed a total stranger to talk about religion and tell them I have something important (MY view) to "share" with them, I've never talked to friends about it, I don't have a tv show, I don't have a book that encourages me to "save" others from their own views...etc...

Does it sound like I do? I mean, if someone thinks I do, then where? Here? By stating my own view on this site? This site hardly counts in the real world. Especially when the questions disappear into oblivion off the first page within a few minutes.

I mean come on... I went to a Native powwow last month and when I paid the small parking fee I was handed a "business card" for Christianity. Probably has happened every time I went. Geez, it's at every chance people get. And here I don't even talk about my "non belief" outside of my home and family.

elmerfud, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Believe in something in order not to believe in it? huh?

Now to the question, No, I don't force my beliefs on people. I speak my mind and hope that others will agree with some of the things that I say. The forcing of one's beliefs on others is what has caused me to flee to my own beliefs and given me the respect for the right of others to hold whatever beliefs they care to hold, regardless of how despicably stupid I may feel that they are. People have the right to be stupid.

No. I don't think it's important enough to force anyone to believe what I do. I mean, I am more concerned with what I am doing now, instead of where I'm going when I'm dead. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of the R&S section, just felt like interrupting... carry on!

How can I force someone to have a lack of belief? There is no dogma to force someone. We don't have a set of rules you must follow.

Elmerfud is wrong. Fetuses do not believe in God, nor do animals

I don't say I force them, but I have ended up in discussions with Christians and tried to convince them they are wrong (whether they are or not it is my belief they are) and we have had debates
but I have never shunned or forced anyone that was a Christian

Of course not! That would never work. There's no such thing as being forced to believe in something that you don't believe in. If you're not convinced, you won't believe it. Thought control is not that sophisticated.

I am not an Atheist nor do I belong to any religion. I do not try to force ANYONE to believe in the same things that I believe in. I don't believe in religion...PERIOD!!! Religions are based on hypocracy. Religions preach about loving everyone while at the same time, telling those who don't possess their beliefs that they are going to burn in hell. This is the ultimate height of hypocracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. I don't care what others believe. In fact, I may be curious and ask questions, but they have no right to bring up their beliefs and try to convert me. If I want to know, I'll ask.
