Every freakin time I go to church I have to give them money!!!!
Thay pass this basket around and if i don't put at least $10 in everyone turns and freaking stares at me!!! OMG!!

Raise your hand and ask for an offering envelope. Pretend to put $$ in it or put whatever you want to put in and seal it up. That way, nobody knows what you put in and you will be happy putting in whatever you want.
Why do they need the $$? The Air Conditioning isn't free? Bathrooms aren't free either.
Give what you want to freely give, not under compulsion or guilt.
The Church accepts (not takes) your cash that you give to them.

Okay, you don't HAVE to give them money. And if people stare at you when you don't, that's their problem. They shouldn't be judging you in the first place. I can't speak for your church, but my church uses the money to put toward projects for the less fortunate in the community and around the world. So it isn't like you're giving your money to somebody who is just keeping it greedily. Most churches do need money to function. It's just sad when people are so forceful about it.
