Being that Windows just copies everything that Mac does... I'd have to say Mac because they did it first.

In terms of looks, I'll have to say Leopard, even though I'm a Windows fan. However, looks isn't everything. In terms of compatibility, Windows is better. Almost no games run on Leopard. So, if you intend to use the computer for work, Leopard is better. Also, although Safari, the web browser, is nice looking, it will not display some pages properly. There exists an IE for Mac, but that is IE 5 or something. Really bad.

That would be Leopard since Windows is still trying to get it right.
5 years to copy Mac and they bought out Vista.

The original GUI came from PARC XEROX. A team at Apple got itself invited to PARC to get a demo of this new concept, liked what they saw so they got Steve into have a look.
A short time later Bill G had a look but Apple was well onto it by then so Bill G had a crack at copying the Mac GUI (badly - they flipped it 90degrees and put a Start button where the Apple menu would have been and called it Windows 95)

The original Macintosh GUI which was developed by Jef Raskin who worked at Apple debuted at MacWorld January 1984 - demod by Steve Jobs.

For those who don't know

MS stopped making IE for Mac at about version 5

Watch the guided tour and work it out for your self.
