That;s the sad part of this. The illegals want to be grouped with law-abiding immigrants. Part of the reason is so they can play the race card, but part of the reason is to draw sympathy from people like you. Thank you for reminding everyone that every immigrant from Latin America is not here illegally and not in favor violation of U.S. laws and sovereignty. People like you speaking out will make it better.
I'm glad you brought up the race issue, my ex-wife, a naturalized citizen from a country in South America, use to check Caucasian on demographic questionnaires (sometimes they list "White Hispanic" AND "non-White Hispanic" as options, in that case she would check white Hispanic. Some of her friends and relatives have blond hair and blue eyes and appear to be whiter than me (Italian), so I have been wondering why anyone who speaks out against illegal aliens is automatically labeled a racist.

I don't think that all Spanish speaking people are like the pro-illegals. And Puerto Ricans can't be illegal immigrants in the United States. Puerto Rico is a dependency of the United States.

I don't group anyone according to language, ethnicity, or culture. As long as a person is here legally, and doesn't demand that things be presented in other languages, I'm cool with it. Mexican, Polish, Cuban, Bolivian, French, Italian - I honestly don't care. Likewise, I also know that illegal aliens come from many countries. Its all about the laws, not the culture. (And, Puerto Ricans are Americans).
Anyhow, don't sweat it. Most Americans aren't that narrow minded. We're well aware of groups like You Don't Speak For Me, and others like them.

You might have a point, there were alot of people that came to America, supported themselves and began a new life. Now those people are confronted with the problems that the illegals are causing from all countries, not just Mexico. Maybe people like yourself that is concerned should let it be known that you support the United States, and will not allow things to take place that bring shame to yourself and people living here from your country..

I don't/ There are a lot of subgroups of Hispanics, and I try to tell people, that not all are like those seen at the protest. People tend to forget the good part of a community, when the bad part are so loud. People needs a few reminders like this.

There are good and bad people in any race. The issue is not the dislike of Spanish speaking people---The issue: Illegals, period. These people break our laws by entering into our country WITHOUT permission and precede to demand equal rights, health care, education, food, housing, jobs etc., this is unacceptable. It has nothing to do with providing a better life for your family, that's fine but if you want to become a citizen of this country--Do it legally.

Yeah...I'm still wondering who these pro illegals are. No one can seem to answer that one that makes any sense whatsoever. But anyway....Cubans needn't hold themselves so high above Mexicans. Nor should Puerto Ricans. Nor should blacks, nor should anglo's, nor....You get the drift. Do you hate LEGAL Mexicans too since you don't seem to differentiate the group on your question? Distance yourself if you need to but believe me the ones who hate Mexicans also hate you. Just because.....
Now those who just want illegal immgration stopped regardless of who....They've earned respect in my eyes. Those of you who spew this Mexican garbage day in and day out....Nah....You're just infantile.

For this reason it is and should be clear that we all are against illegals of any country no matter what country. I just think that some people like to mention a certain country more just for the sake of it. But the fact is not just one country for it is well known that illegals come from all countries. I am against any one who enters here illegal then demands rights. I don't care what country they are from. If we start naming one country then it becomes racist and we are not racist against anyone, at least that is what i think to be the case.

I don't think we do. Most Americans are very open and encouraging to all races and nationalities who wish to be good citizens, follow our laws and be part of our communities.
It is only illegals we have a problem with. We don't lump all hispanics together just as we don't lump all caucasians together.

Correct on all counts. I live in southern NM and 99.99% of the problems with spanish speaking illegals ar from Mexican Citizens. To bad the Fed government will not do something about it.
