should i go home with a friend and have fun, or go home and see my grandparents for the first time in a year even though my family annoys me

Fun is always the first choice....but, it's always smart to try to get in a visit a least 1 x per year. Your grandparents won't always be around, so see them as much as you can. With 365 days per year, by only seeing your Grandparent's 1 - 2 days per year, it gives you 363 other days to have fun with friends. Make your trip home, short & quick, so you are "less" annoyed. With the holidays approaching, will you have any other opportunities to see your Grandparents before the year ends? If no, go see them this weekend. If yes, go home with your friend.

Go and have a good time with your friends but make sure you call your Grandparents and let them know you're thinking of them. They don't necessarily need you hanging around for the week-end, they want to hear your voice of excitement about school and the new friends you're meeting. Just keep in contact...a nice card "thinking of them" is also a good idea. Have a good time but "hit" those books when you get back!

One day, your grandparents will be GONE... you won't HAVE that decision to make any more----but you can ALWAYS go to your friend's house the following weekend. Go see your grandparents and give them a nice weekend with you... it's only 48 hours and it won't kill YOU, but the guilt you will feel if ANYTHING were to happen to your grandparents and you DIDN'T go see them when you could have---well that guilt will follow you all your life.

You should visit ur grandparents even though they annoyed you. But they will not be around very much longer (friends might be here longer) So visit ur grandparents,then hangout with ur buddies!!
