The Great Depression was not limited to the US. Anything similar would also impact on Mexico as it's one of our largest trading partners, and Mexicans send billions of dollars to their families back home. Hard to say who would be in the most need of help.

They might not go willingly, but I'm sure we would send them packing since sub minimum wage jobs such as chicken catcher (real job at Perdue*), vegetable picker, window washer and non-OSHA compliant ditch digger would become sought after by the average legal resident.
* I would pay admission to watch that for a day. They run around the chicken house, chasing chickens and stuffing them in a big sack, then when they fill the sack they have to take them out and stuff them into tiny cages and stack them 12 high the length of flatbed trailers.

You simply can't eradicate a nation that produces 75% of the world's GDP without eliminating markets for all the others.

Let's hope they go back!! And no, nobody would aid us...they hate us. All of our "allies" would turn away like we crapped our pants in a grocery store line. They wouldn't even realize we were there.
