i charged a products and they shipped it to me 2 months ago. i bank on the internet. The first day i say the amount subtracted from my account. Then the nexzt day it was added back . the charge never came through. I called the bank and they have no information or record of it. I called the store and they say they were paid. How long do I hold money in the account to cover it possibly showing up. After a year can I keep the money?

I'd say the money is yours now.
The bank has no record yet the shop says they were paid..
The shop is your biggest worry, if they said they hadn't been paid but money taken from your account then it's a different story..

I'd say if you have an invoice or recepit from the store then look at it and see if the card number matches up with the card number on it!

You might want to ask a free advice line about if you can claim the money.

Normally, I'd say don't touch the money. But if the store says they were paid and the bank has no record, I'd be pretty tempted to use it too.

Just to be on the safe site, give it 18 months. It would be nice if you had something in writing from the store that they got their money.
