Nothing. The BARF diet stands for Bones And Raw Food.
Feeding raw has it's proponents and opponents. I had thought of doing it but have too many dogs and, believe it, raw is just too expensive and time consuming for me to do it.

They are basically the same. With BARF though the food is to be put in a food processor to replicate what a wild animal (dog) would get by killing an animal and eating the innards.
My basset hound was on the BARF diet for about 6 years due to allergies. The vet finally talked me out of it because she had to perform surgery on another dog that had chewed raw chicken bones and had them stuck. She said the bones were well chewed. I still do occasionally give my dog fresh raw chicken wings to keep his teeth clean.

no BARf is raw meat formulated with fruits and veggies to meet a dog's nutrtional needs. a raw diet is simply a slab of raw meatfrom a grocer or butcher.and also BARF stands for Biologicly Appropriate Raw Food.

Same difference - BARF biologically appropriate raw feeding, or ARF appropriate raw feeding. I read a post today on YA asking how much beef to feed - raw feeding is a little more involved than feeding a beef patty, it involves feeding muscle meats, organs, bones, some people add pulped veggies and fruits.

BARF is one style of raw feeding..
a prey model is another style...
I feed raw. I find it less expensive than premium kibble, however, I will admit it is more timeconsuming than simply buying a bag of kibble.
