With #19 missing, the pain could be from either #18 or #20. Was #19 extracted recently?
Remember that when preparing the teeth for a bridge, it is kind of like taking the insulation off a wire, so there can be an increased amount of sensitivity, or one of the abutments may be starting to go bad, and may require a root canal, but first off, call your dentist and have that temporary bridge/crowns recemented or remade, whatever is required. These things happen, temporarys are made of acrylic and sometimes they do crumble especially when the bite is close from the opposing teeth.
Call your DDS and let him know what is going on, they should be able to get you in and at least remake a temp for you
P.S. The teeth shifting should not be an issue, it would take more than a couple of weeks to have substancial shifting that would impede your dental work.

Your dentist viewed a periapical x ray of these teeth prior to the bridge prep procedure; if there was a problem, such that would require a root canal or further treatment with either #18 or # 20, it would have been observed from the x ray and been taken care of prior to initiating the bridge prep.

Occasionally a patient will experience pain after the prep which is usually due to a “cracked, crumbled, leaking, poorly fitting temporary” or one that is “not adjusted properly” causing the patient to “bite heavily” or “hit hard” on these teeth causing “hypersensitivity” with one or both of the teeth. These can all cause pain but an improperly adjusted bite can actually “cause a nerve to die.”

It’s possible for you to check the temporary your self, although you won’t be able to correct the problem but you can avoid causing more stimulation. If the pain you are experiencing is only felt when you “drink” or when you “breathe” and air rushes in over the temporary, then it is probably a “cracked or leaking“ or the temporary isn’t “covering the prep at the margins” causing it to fit poorly leaving the root exposed to the elements of your mouth. If this is the case, then try not to drink or eat ice cold or hot items or let these drinks or foods rest on the temporary until you can see your dentist for a repair or remake. You can also check your occlusion to see if the temporary is too high simply by gently closing your teeth together; if you feel the temporary “touch the opposing teeth first” then you are hitting too heavy or hard. More than likely all you need an adjustment of the temporary for the teeth to settle down. Your dentist may also want to wait a little longer to seat the permanent bridge making sure the teeth settle down and won‘t require further treatment. We don’t particularly care to drill holes in new crown or bridge work to perform root canals, it‘s easier to wait an additional week or two to be safe.

Some of these symptoms may be alleviated "temporarily" by taking 600mm of Motrin or Advil which works to reduce the inflammation of the nerve in these teeth caused by the excessive stimulation from the cracked or leaking temp. Medication will offer little relief if the temporary is left too high or the nerve has suffered excessive stimulation causing irreversible nerve damage. In any case the pain you are experiencing will require a visit to your dentist sooner than planned; leaving the teeth as they are can be detrimental.

HELLO,

A BRIDGE FROM 18=20 IS A STANDARD ROCEDURE.
IF 19 WAS ALREADY EXTRACTED THERE SHOULD NOT BE PAIN FROM THIS AREA.
TAKE 3-4 AVIL EVERY 4-6 HOURS UNTIL YOU SEE A DENTIST AND HAVE IT LOOED AT.

Get a new temp in asap!! Your teeth will shift and the bridge won't fit otherwise

vicodin. depending on where you live, im sure you can find someone with it. and if you are seriously taking it for pain and not for pleasure...it will not harm you in the right dosage.
PS im not a drug addict. im just saying if you are physically in a lot of pain take advantage of what is there for you.
