The 'unpardonable sin' is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit...refusing to accept Him. However, a Christian CANNOT commit that particular sin, since by placing your faith in Christ, you've also received the Holy Spirit, and therefore, can't possibly reject Him. Now, when it comes to deathbed confessions, or stuff like a person committing suicide, and hypothetically being unable to confess a sin since they're dead, remember that 1 John 1:9 (Not the Gospel of John, but FIRST John) says, in a nutshell, that if we confess our sins, God forgives them. Can you remember EVERY single sin you've committed? I didn't think so...neither can I. The purpose of confession is to remind us of our dependence upon the grace shown by God to us, and when we repent of our sin, THAT is the result of our faith...we decide we don't want to live in it, and as a result we repent (turn away) from it. Do we still sin? Yes, and probably every day. We don't know exactly when we're going to die, but God has us covered anyway...Jesus Christ already paid for your sins, even before you were born. Is suicide a sin? I'd say yes, since we're disobeying God by taking matters on life and death into our own hands. But...as long as you've accepted that and placed your trust (faith) in Him, you will NOT go to Hell...remember that Jesus already paid the price for it! Not to sound all preachy, but as long as you keep your focus on Him, you'll be able to stay close and sin won't be much of an issue. Hang in there!

but if this person has lived a Christ like life why at this moment would he spur all his beliefs? his death bed is not the suffering of the Holocaust of something like that. wouldn't he want to spend his eternity with God? just because his life on Earth will soon end does not mean he should commit the unpardonable sin.

No. If you are truly saved, and accept Christ as your Savior, then sin is forgiven, both past and future. It is not a revocable gift from God. The details you used make it even more certain based on the Christ like life and fruits of the faith. If you claim to accept Christ but continue to ignore his teachings and make little or no effort to conform to his desires for your life, I would argue you never were saved and committing future sin is not forgiven, but you can still be saved by truly accepting Christ prior to death.

there is only one unpardonable sin, and that is not accepting christ as savior. Ephesians 2:8,9 and John 10:28 are very clear on this that no man can take someone from his hand. No man includes the individual themself.

Salvation is in Repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. You cannot do that at the moment of death. However, you can forfeit your salvation if you have gone through this process.

Many believe that because God's love is unconditional that salvation can be obtained even after death.
After all, why would a loving God punish his children for feeling emotions that he gave them, thus permitting them to feel. Forgiveness is the very essence of unconditional love.
Of course, Hellfire and damnation believers won't buy it....and I suspect will not like my answer.
Ah, well -- popularity is over-rated.

Yes you can lose your salvation if you willingly turn your back on the Lord. God is not mocked, He knows your heart. Otherwise what's to stop someone from getting their "fire insurance" then going on a hedonistic binge for the rest of your life. Again, it's a heart issue.

Unpardonable means just that. This person would suffer through eternity with much worse pain that he experienced before death.
This is because God is kind and caring, but gets angry REAL easily.

i would want to say no .. If a person is in so much pain then their not coherent so they are not responsible of their actions at that point.. only way to lose salvation at death i would say is to denounce your faith totally with a clear head... This is my opinion on it I'm not God so i cant say for sure but i hope this helps..
