I never thought of that. There's a church near where I live that's always barbecuing. Maybe it's time I returned to the fold.

I think so. I know of one lady that seemed to show up to any event someone would take her to (she had no transportation of her own) and would often ask if there was any food. She would often pile up two plates, and of course not be able to finish it, so she could then take food home. I think other people stay after church looking for potlucks or to be invited for lunch, and some people stick around for an event if there will be free food. But these people did attend church, so I guess I shouldn't say it was just for the food.

Yes, we even had a woman come to the church drunk
and wanted money to buy more whiskey.

sometimes we use it as a way to attract them to listen to the genuine word of God. and theres nothing wrong with it. were are looking for every way to get people to join the flock of Jesus Christ which is the Church Of Christ.

that always happens they love to eat
I go home or if I stay I go home early
I think that has gotten way overboard
I would rather have a testimonial service and pray
like a Watch of the Lord all night

Every church does. Just pray for them. Bite your tongue. You never know what is REALLY goibg on w/ some people.
