Well, what is God telling you to do? Have you asked Him yet? Do you like her enough to wait for her? Does she like you enough to wait 'til she's older? If not, well, then, you're probably doing the right thing. In any case, ask God. He'll tell you everything you need to know.

It's better to let her go because you are an adult and she is a teenager. Even though she is mature, she doesn't know what she wants completely. See, I'm 12 and I act like a 15 year old and I am mature, but I am too young to have a boyfriend. You can be friends and hangout WITH friends. Hope you do the right thing! And just to let you know, if you do anything sexual with her, that is considered RAPE and you can go to jail if anyone sees you. She can be trouble because of her age. Good Luck and don't fall for her. Put yourself before anyone. Bye.

John, you're doing the right thing!!!! Not to mention the LEGAL thing!!!! Remember, state laws differ, but I think the lowest age of consent (should you and she have pursued that avenue if you were in a relationship) is 16, I think, and she's still two years shy of that.
Plus, even if she is "mature for her age"...14 is WAY too young to commit to an 18-almost-19-year-old guy. I know you and she may not think that *now*, but eventually, the age difference will MAKE a difference to both of you.
Congratulations on making an adult decision and sticking by it. And, John, trust me on this...you will not regret it! Good luck on your next relationship!

don;t know bout the leagle issue..there could be. That the only problem I see.
18-14 is 4 yrs but a longer 4 yrs than a 27-23 yr old. for example. or a married couple at 52-56 for ex.

YES, let her go----anything else could get you in a LOT of trouble because you are OVER 18 and she isn't.... HOWEVER, all is not lost, in 4 years, you will only be ALMOST 25 and she will be 18 and if you want to try THEN, by all means go for it THEN.....but if she truly IS worth it---she is also worth the wait!!!!!

Stay friends and no more. In five years, you both may have a different outlook on a relationship. right now you are in two different worlds as far as development goes.

Unless you are going to settle for "just friends" until she turns 18, which I doubt, leave her alone. You are asking for jail time and a mark as a sexual predator....when you turn 18, there's a name for this -- pedophilia.

Remain her friend. Wait till she's atleast 17.
Remaining someone's friend is a good way to preserve a dormant relationship.

It is in everyone's best interest that you let her go, for no matter how mature she is, there is a legality issue, lurking at the edges
