Supposed at the moment of death I am in so much pain that I cuss and swear like a sailor and then pass out before I am able to repent of this sin. Even though I am a Christian, will I go to Hell still because I had one sin outstanding that I had not repented of?

Are you a Born Again Christian? Have you accepted Christ as your Saviour? If you have confessed to Christ you are a sinner in need of a Saviour, if you believe Christ arose from the grave to wash away your sins and if you have ask him with sincere and believing heart to come into your life and save you he has. And you have nothing to worry about, If we could be perfect, Jesus wouldnot have had to come and give his life a ransom for many.

Me thinks this is a loaded question. Even so...Jesus died and upon Himself took the sins of the whole world...all of them that were ever committed. You asking this question simply means that you don't understand atonement. If you were a faithful believer in Christ but by some means were not in your right mind to make sober judgments descerning even your own behavior...He is your mediator, He has paid this price knowing full well that one day...this would be your situation. He judges the mind and the hearts of man...He is just and wouldn't that any man would parish but that all would come to ever lasting life. He's not looking for any little excuse to condemn you, for certainly, we all sin even as believers and christians every day. I know where of that I speak. So while your question is valid...I'm not sure you are really seeking an answer. He sees to all your other needs...why not the very need for your soul to be safe from "sins" you commit unknowingly? Can we really repent of every sin we commit against Him? No...that is why He died for us...let your conscience be pricked and seared...those are the sins that you better be turning from. Dang! I swear every day justabout...stub my toe...you bet...drop an item of great value and see it bust all over the floor...panic when my child is in danger...Oh yeah. I curse right along side the best of them...its just words..though there are certain ones I endeavor to always avoid. God is more concerned with what we actually do for Him by way of serving each other...not by these little triffling verbal atrocities...Oh, crap! Its time for my break! Gotta go! Toodles! Love in Christ, ~J~

1 John 1:9 (Not the Gospel of John, but FIRST John) says, in a nutshell, that if we confess our sins, God forgives them. Can you remember EVERY single sin you've committed? I didn't think so...neither can I. The purpose of confession is to remind us of our dependence upon the grace shown by God to us, and when we repent of our sin, THAT is the result of our faith...we decide we don't want to live in it, and as a result we repent (turn away) from it. Do we still sin? Yes, and probably every day. We don't know exactly when we're going to die, but God has us covered anyway...Jesus Christ already paid for your sins, even before you were born. As long as you've accepted that and placed your trust (faith) in Him, you will NOT go to Hell... Not to sound all preachy, but as long as you keep your focus on Him, you'll be able to stay close and sin won't be much of an issue. Hang in there!

if at one time in your life, you admitted that you were a sinner, confess your sin, repented and accepted Christ as FULL payment for your sin, you will be in heaven. If you committed a sin right before death and you last your salvation, what was the point of Jesus sacrificing Himself?

If you live the Christian life, you will sin every day up til the moment of death. It is only after death that we are free from sin.
If you are really that hung up about this, I suggest that every day you ask God to forgive you of any future sin you may commit for, say, the next week ( just to be on the safe side).

There is no Christian that does not sin -- for this reason there is divine discipline of our sins.

The question you are posing must therefore be readjusted.

If you sin willfully as a practice of sin before you as a Christian die, yes, then there is no forgiveness only eternal sleep in death -- but no torment.

This question always amazes me..How many people spend their lives, wondering if they are saved or not..You won't lose your salvation at the last minute...your sins are covered...nothing or no one can pluck you from your Father's hand....don't you beleive God's promise?....if you accept his Son as a sacrifice for your sins,,,he will save you..he doesn't save maybe he will,,,,or it depends on you never ever making a mistake again...no he says:
1 John
"These things I have written to you who believe in the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life.(1 John 5:13)."

THAT YOU MAY KNOW

John 10:29,
"And I give eternal life to them; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand."

Jesus gave you eternal life and it started the minute you beleived in him....THEY SHALL NOT PERISH.....not they shall not perish unless they make a mistake..God knew we would not be perfect even after we were saved,,,even Paul had his problems with sin....keep your faith to the end,,that is what is required of you....run a good race and keep your faith....

If you were a Christian and you would have been in a lot of pain. Matthew chapter 5.You would have still had a attitude of gratitude for the God of life.

If you have been born again then you will not go to Hell. Jesus died for all of our sins. We sin daily and we need to ask for forgiveness daily but if we died and didn't ask for forgiveness then we will still go to Heaven cause Jesus paid the price for all of our sins.

If you have lived a good Christian life up until then, God will understand and forgive you. Swearing is obviously a sin (Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain), and you will still have to suffer Purgatory, but I do not think God would damn you for it.
