Absolutely! God gave Adam dominion over all the animals. Also told him to name them. The Bible plainly states were a higher order of being.

"Highest" is a misleading term for discussing biological diversity. Humans are incredibly complex, but so are many other species. In some ways humans are physically less well adapted to many environments, so "highest" loses some meaning if you want to discuss adaptability in physical terms. Many species can kick out butt in their own backyard.
However, humans are wonderuflly culturally adapted, so much so that we can overcome physical barriers other species can't even dream of. In this context the term "highest" is also somewhat misleading.
I prefer terms like "complex," "cultural" and "adaptive". It helps to be precise and not pejorative.

Are you kidding? Humans are probably the most vicious animal of them all. When was the last time you saw two squirrels killing each other over a pair of sneakers?

No. Many animals have more common sense than human beings. At least they don't go around killing each other fighting for one reason or another. Intelligence is much more than just what we achieve, it also has to do with how we BEHAVE.

and lulz xango tango, I think my dog might be more intelligent than some people I've met. Intelligence means nothing, who destroys the world with this so called intelligence? Not the monkeys or bears...nope..WE do. That makes us pretty dumb.

Yes. We are created in the image of GOD and He has given us dominion over all the earth. We are NOT homosapiens because that places us in the evolutionistic ANIMAL kingdom. We are men and women--created by the great I AM.
