It would seem that "god" could have "created" human penises that did not have to be cut on. This is known as thinking ahead and planning. But perhaps this wonderful omnipresent "god" was just fascinated with the male anatomy. We are all aware that many Catholic priests have this problem too. It's a fact that male humans, relative to the size of their body, have the largest penis size in the animal kingdom. So it seems that "god" did indeed have a VERY special interest in human penises. "He" wanted 'em big and "he" wanted 'em pretty.

Physical rites in the Old Testament are symbols designed to teach us spiritual principles. Circumcision is symbolic of shedding one's attachment to worldly desires and forming a relationship with God -- making God the central figure in one's life. No wonder circumcision is mentioned so many times -- inviting us to come to God is the central purpose of the Bible.

Because uncircumcised penises are ICKY... he didn't realize how icky they would be until after he made them, then he couldn't go back and change it.
edit- dude below me, it was a joke. you know, haha. Also, I can't be circumcised because I'm a girl, so I don't have to worry about it. *sticks out tongue*
The female version of circumcision isn't known to many as circumcision. Yeah I can be cut, but that's not normally called circumcision. *puts thumbs in ears and commences wiggling fingers*
Wait.. why do I keep editing? I don't even care, This is the religion section, Who the crap cares about the specifics of circumcision here?

"I can't be circumcised because I'm a girl, so I don't have to worry about it. *sticks out tongue*"
Actually, yes you can. The clitoris has a foreskin too, called the clitoral hood, and there are African cultures that A) do the equal to male circumcision by removing the clitoral hood, B) scrape off the clitoris entirely, or C) scrape of the clitoris and sew up the labia majora leaving a small hole for urine and menses that has to be "surgically" undone for the wedding night.
Male circumcision can be beneficial to health....if you don't wash your body well to begin with. If you know how to take care of yourself, a foreskin is more beneficial than no foreskin.

circumcision was used as to identify a jew who belong to the once nation of God. It was a law not a hygiene purpose. God didn't create foreskins that were detrimental to the health of men. Circumcision is now mostly cultural rather than having much medical benefits. Normal washing routine is all that is needed to keep the foreskin clean.
Just some chick, you have your genitals circumcised and get back to us about the benefits you are blessed with. Oh yes you can be circumcised but you wouldn't like it. *sticks out tongue*

"You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you." (Gen 17:11) According to Christopher West, in his book, "Theology of the Body Explained", says "How is this physical symbol an effective sign of God's spiritual, covenant love in the world?" He goes on to say: "Every time a male descendant of Abraham consummated his marriage, he and his wife would be reminded of God's promise of fruitful nuptial love. ...By inflicting this wound upon the male, it appears that the Heavenly Father is saying that men must come to learn something that women already seem to know. Namely, participation in God's generous love involves the shedding of blood and the sacrifice of ones own flesh. ...Is this not precisely what Christ the Bridegroom teaches us (from the cross)? (Page 17)

In the new Testament the circumcision is of the Heart, meaning to repent, to turn from your sins, to seperate yourself to Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world. Our sins separate us from God but Jesus came and died on a cross for us, to wash away our sins. He is perfect blood shed on the cross atones for our sins and when we get saved the Holy Spirit moves into our heart and makes us a new creature and seperates us to Christ as circumcision in the old testament was a sign of being a Jew and a follower of the Great I AM, notice in John 15 first couple verses Jesus says I AM the Vine, Also if you will read in John 3:3 Jesus says that except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of Heaven, unless you have admitted to Jesus you need him as a Saviour you will not enter into Heaven. Are you willing to confess your sins to God, if you are and you believe in Jesus you can be born again today and start a new life in Jesus Christ, just pray this simple prayer of faith, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!
