Under .500? I doubt they'd sink that low. They'd need the D-Rays and Orioles to stop being completely awful for that to happen.

I believe that without Joe Torres and some of the other key players, that next season will be a repeat of this season. George might better get off his behind and go find the payers himself if he thinks it's that easy.
I have been a Yankee fan since I was a kid and I certainly hope they do better than this season,....
We'll have to wait and see, won't we?

i think its very possible. next year is the last season in the old stadium and i could see the team playing very well for that purpose as well as a new coach bringing a new attitude. Their new young pitchers are a step up from some of the old arms they've relied on for too too long.

Without A-Rod, they still might. Without Mariano it could actually be questionable. Though with the new arms the Yankees have, they could hit 90 wins.

As long as they get some decent pitching, they should. That's where they were weakest this year. Moose is approaching retirement age. Clemens should retire. Pettite might not come back either. Who does that leave? Exactly.

80 games they should not have a problem unless they have a meltdown and cant recover...getting to the playoffs well thats discussion for a later date!!
