i'm a bit of an amateur so bare with me. i have a tax deduction form known as form 8283. it was for someting that i had donated and now i can get some tax deducted. what do i do with it after i fill everything out?

Put it someplace where you'll be able to find it in January or February.

If you don't itemize, you don't get any tax benefit from charitable contributions.

It is documentation for the amount of your contribution. Keep it in the same place you keep all your current tax records/
