It would like when Stiller and Mira used to do "The Bickersons". Great idea for an NPR show, don't you think?

No,wait. A husband and wife team. He's an atheist, she's Catholic or Jewish. What a "hilarious premise"! I see a hit.

Actually, I think this is kind of funny and would be a good idea for a play or show. We have quite a few of these "teams", people who feed off one another and exchange jokes, in this section already. I could see this being a big hit.

Um, sure... If you enjoy hate mail and lawsuits. Great NPR shows include "Radio Lab", "This American Life", and "Car Talk". If the Athiest/Theist thing lasted longer than ten minutes, it would have to get so insulting and vitriolic that if people listened in their cars, it would triple the rates of road rage. Spirituality is, and should be, important and serious business to most people who follow some spiritual path or other. Not that you can never joke about religion, but I don't see it happening as a regular thing. Besides, when you joke about a particular religious group, you typically do it in a setting where none of that group would overhear. On the radio, everyone overhears. You would wind up offending everybody, and not in the "I've made you think by offending you' kind of way. In the "America is suing the bejeezus out of NPR" kind of way.
Keep trying - NPR does have the best of the strange shows, thank the Goddess!
