God loves each of us totally. Hell was made for a place to put those that reject God's love.
Some claim that God doesnt exist so there is no hell, yet that is like saying gravity doesnt exist so if you jump off a 20 story building you wont get hurt. There is no problem untill one hits the ground.
Considering what God did to keep us from going to hell. He came to earth as promised=
Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born, a son is given and he will be the mighty God, the wonderful counselor, the prince of peace."
Isaiah 52:13-53:12 "He will be exaulted but first marred more than any man. He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins."
Revelation 1:1 chapter 1 verse 1 & 3:19&20 Jesus speaking from heaven says "I love you and ask you to repent quickly from sin (even one lie) and turn to me. Behold, I stand at your heart door and knock if you open the door, I will come in and forgive sin, to help you and be your friend, to have fellowship with you and you with me."
so I prayed; "Jesus thank you that you love me and died for my sins. I am sorry for them, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen. (bring it to happen)"
and my new life began, in fact the fear of hell is what kept me as born a Jew who had everything money could buy, yet decided for all the hurt of life I was going to commit suicide, yet that week instead an elder lady came and shared the love of Jesus with me.
"God showed His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Jesus died for us." Romans 5:8
"For the payment for sin is separation from God and hell forever, but the free gift of God is everlasting life through Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
Matthew 24:51 in hell there is weeping and gnashing of teeth forever.
have a wonderfullest day and give life a chance more abundantly John chapters 3&10, David the sweet pea
and good question -why does God....

If you believe in an afterlife such as Hell, then the answer is simple: because you did something the Big Daddy upstairs didn't like. Or if you want to go by other religions, it's because you did something bad, either according to the gods or in your own mind, and you need to work off the debts/repay the gods/think about what you did and how you can do better next time/etc.
If you don't believe in an afterlife, then... O.o The question is totally moot, and why bother answering this at all?

I will explain this as quickly and easily as i can. God is Holy- in His holiness, He is love- but since He is God there has to be payment for sin- because He is just and Holy- we ALL deserve hell, when we look at ourselves in the eyes of Almighty God. God does not want to send anyone of us to hell- so that is why He sent , out of His great love for us, His Son into the world to be crucified on the Cross so that we could be forgiven and live eternally in hell. There is no where in scripture where God says He rejoices over sinners going to hell, He grieves that- however there are passages that say, things like- "heaven rejoices over one sinner that repents." Hell is what we deserve, Jesus paid the price we could never pay- accept Christ and you will have a relationship with God that starts now, and will continue for eternity. God is love, but it cost Jesus His life to show it,

He don't send us to hell. Except that there is nothing else after death. Because those who are not saved are not alive in their spirit. That's all. Furthermore this is a fallen world.
Those who are not saved are under the authority of Satan because when Adam & Eve ate the forbidden fruit, the authority on earth was given to Satan. As a son of God through the righteousness of Jesus, the authority of sonship is restored to you.
Because Jesus died on the cross to take your punishments in His place, because God is so righteous that sins cannot go unpunished. But the heaviest of punishments went to Jesus instead. He who knew no sins was made sin upon the cross, as the sacrificial passover lamb once & for all, for those who believe in Him.
God don't send us to hell. It is because Satan himself is the God of this world.

You say that as though it's a definite fact that people are sent to hell. Why are you so sure about it? The Bible doesn't teach that there is a burning place of torment that dead people go to because they have sinned. The Bible teaches that people know nothing when they die. They are as though they are asleep. Jesus told his apostles when he was going to raise his friend Lazarus from the dead -"he is asleep". John 11:11-14 - " He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Laz′a·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” Therefore the disciples said to him: “Lord, if he has gone to rest, he will get well.” Jesus had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. At that time, therefore, Jesus said to them outspokenly: “Laz′a·rus has died, . . ." The point is that it says death is as though you are asleep.
Ecclesiastes 9:5 says - "For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten."
Psalm 146:4 says "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish."
Ezekiel 18:4 says "Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die."
Right there it tells us that the SOUL that is sinning dies, and are any of us without sin? No! So think about it.
And the Bible says that "God is love." Humans have love for one another, but God is the very personification of love. He would no more torment people than you or I would.

We are accustomed to seeing things from man's perspective, not God's. From our perspective we are pretty good people. I think it goes like this: I am a good person; I love people and always try to help others. I care for people and pets and respect all beliefs. I try to be nice to people.
From God's perspective, the heart is deceitful above all things; who can know it. While you believe you are a good person, you are in rebellion against God. In fact you have already judged and condemned Him. God is good and his mercy endures forever. God is not looking for self proclaimed good people; he is looking for the humble and contrite heart. God proved His great love by not sparing His Son. The Word was with God and was God and the Word became flesh, human, for the express purpose of paying the price of our sins in our place. The pain God endured was love for us. The punishment for our sins was laid on Jesus and his spiritual suffering and separation from God was a pain beyond our comprehension. This is the highest love. As many as receive Jesus are made children of God. They are transferred out of the Kingdom of darkness whose king is Satan, and transferred into the Kingdom of the dear Son. Once we judge ourselves by the Law of God instead of by our own perspective, we humble ourselves and confess we need mercy from God. God is good and His mercy endures forever. Choose life; the life is in His Son. Hell is a choice. If you reject the sacrifice of the Son, then at judgment day you are on your own as your secret life is brought to the light and totally exposed. God forbid, Jesus came to save sinners. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. He that has the Son has life, and he that does not believe the Son has not life but the wrath of God abides on him.
The real problem we have is America is so rich compared to the world. It distracts us from eternal considerations. I am now looking at a little girl in India, and she has accepted Jesus as a little child full of trust. She no doubt could answer your question far better than I have.

According to John 3:17 which follows the famous John 3:16
It says that whosoever believeth not is condemned already. So Jesus saves us from hell not send us to it

I'm glad you asked this today on here, so that I and all my Christian friends in here can answer you.
And the truth is that God just doesn't sent people to hell!!!!
People make their own choice to enter it by not receiving His salvation, by not receiving Him they thus instead receive eternal abomination.

He doesn't, because he doesn't exist. Man created gods because they were afraid of the dark and the unknown. Men wrote the holy books to control other men.
Peace, only without religion.
