God doesn't make these things happen. They happen because sin entered the world along time ago.

God is spirit. Jesus took human form expressly for dying. A spirit cannot engage in combat, much less rescue. The devil is the Prince of this world. He has as much influence on people's lives as the Lord. His wiles are clever. He encourages people to be boastful and selfish to foster pride. Rape is evil. Molestation is evil. God's work is not to step in and stop anything. Such things ended around the time of David. Living a life for the Lord involves test. But He will never send something you cannot handle. If you prefer, an Indian belief is that the Great Spirit sends tests for arousing your strength.

I considered what it would be like if I was raped by a man. I would feel shame. I would want justice. I would have thoughts of murder. I would have thoughts of suicide. Only after a long while would I feel like being in public. I have excellent friends. They would have a hard time knowing what to say, though. My only way to survive would be prayer. I don't mean asking God to smite him. Although, I'm sure I would feel some satisfaction. I would pray that God touch him, so that others might not have to go through that. Wearing the armor of God's Word is enduring forever.

Yes, it is the radical belief in mortal, material thought that puts up that seeming barrier between God and His creation, man. In the human form, we all carry pain for a season, but also know that we will not have to carry it on an eternal basis. For those who seek, they will find at length, and the pain will subside, even though the remembrance still is for a while longer. God did not create evil (rape) or a reflection of Himself that escapes to an evil place to do evil. Evil must be then a mortal dream and not a reality of God's creation.

yea i was raped and abused by my family and all i did when i was little and when this was happening was pray to god to show me the correct path of life. Now i do believe in god, but not in the christian sense, and i do not believe in a right or wrong. no heaven, no hell. So does this mean i love my family? no. it just means i do not believe that humans have as much free will as we think we do. We make choices and decisions based on the way our brains are(yes they are all different and we can't change it, its called our 'perspective') and the way society has affected us. basically combining the nature vs. nurture debate. Does this also mean that i think we should do nothing about it? no. I think we should stop as much as we can, but just because i wish i could love someone like normal people do doesn't mean that i pity myself and think that i am in the worst position ever. Everyone has their own problems to deal with, and most of it is because we don't have that much free will. So don't use God as a scapegoat. Take control of yourself. You really can't rely on him in that sense. The only thing he can offer us is comfort when we are down. I hope i helped

Because apparently if evil (ie., rape) happens, it's because of Satan/the fall of man/Adam/Eve/etc etc etc. God is only responsible for the GOOD.
According to some, God doesn't intervene because the evil that's happening is the result of people being flawed/sinful. Talk about blaming the victim, right?
I mean, seriously...have you ever heard a football player BLAME God or Christ when their team loses??

Because of free will, people rape, murder, and steal. God hates sin and hates that victims are raped. In the Old Testament if a woman was no longer a virgin she couldn't marry so rapists had to marry their victims. It's cultural and also a law God created for the people He chose and set apart for Himself. God wants to heal victims, not torture them. In our society it wouldn't make sense to marry your rapist.

Just because God doesn't rescue us from rape and molestation doesn't make him heartless in any way shape or form. It just further proves Man's sinful nature, and evil ways. I was molested when I was younger, and I don't look at the Lord in a malicious way. It took years for me to realize that sh*t happens, and God picks us up from that to be stronger, and to help others in need. Through us, we can spread God's love and strength to others who are in the situations we have been in.
Phil. 4:13 is the one verse that has kept me going through even the worst of times...

God gave humans free will. Free will is what causes bad things to happen. Suffering is what helps build our faith. If the world was without suffering what would we learn? What point would there be in being here? We all suffer at one point or another during our lives, if we cling to the emotions that come from suffering we only hurt ourselves (and the people who love us). Hating a person for hurting you does nothing to them. If a rapist is sent to prison, he is far removed from the woman he raped. Her hurt, anger, fear and any other emotion she harbors for the rapist does nothing to him. It will, however, (if she lets it), hurt her. The best choice is to forgive. As hard as that may be, it is the only thing that can help ease suffering. Understand that the perpetrator of horrific behavior is a human being, too. Yes, forgiving is hard, but not impossible. It isn't God's job to rescue us.

God didn't want us to be harm. He is not responsible of all the chaos that we experience today. He permit the suffering of all humankind for us to know if we (mankind) can manage our respective life without the presence of God. We all know that we can't. All political leader, even though, they are trying to make some good thing for the seek of their country men but still they don't have. Imagine the electric fan when it is not connected with the current, of course, it won't operate. But God divine intervention is near. We must all be excited on that! more info...e-mail me at julyteen@yahoo.com.ph

God brought us here with free agency - to do what we would. If God stopped all the bad things from happening, then there would be nothing to judge the bad people for. Just as those that do evil must be called to justice, there have to be victims that can cry out for justice.
All trials have the capacity to make one stronger.

Sin entered the world when Adam and Eve chose to sin. Sin seperated them from God. God wants us to choose to love Him, because when you force someone to love you, it isnt really love, is it? Love is a decision, not a feeling.
SO, rape, molestation, robberies, murder, beatings, you name it...they are all the result of us having free will. God does not make that happen to you. Remember, this is exactly what Satan is trying to make you think.
The best thing you can ever do with yourself is choose to love God with all of your heart and soul and strength. God has good intentions in mind for us, He would never do anything to harm us. When God commands us to love Him as part of the 10 commandments, it is for our own good.
Also remember that confusion is from the devil. God is the truth, and the truth shall set you free!!
