on the 7th day is the sabbath day to keep it holy six days you labour, and do all thy work : but on the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work , thou , nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates. The last day of the week is not sunday. This is the one most people don keep and dont even see a problem with it. I am not sure why. I have not heard a good answer in all my years of sabbath keeping . I am a christian but keep sabbath because I am told to do so and Jesus never came to change not one word of them. Do people think he came so people would rest on sunday not saturday. I just think that is a little silly. The Lord loves us and knows us and wants us to take care of our lives and insists we rest. He is saying on the 7th day your going to rest. Why do christians have a problem whith this law it is so easy to keep , but the easiest one for the devil to get you to brake,

Seventh Day Adventists (who are Christians) and Jews (who are not Christians) still have the Sabbath on Saturday.

You poor deluded soul.

The first rule of proper Biblical scholarship is: Who is speaking, and who is being spoken to?"

God is speaking to Israel; the children of Israel. God is not speaking to any other group of people. God is not speaking to Christians. You are practicing "replacement theology" here, and it is invalid.

You use the argument, "Jesus never came to change not one word of them."

What evidence do you provide to support your claim? On the contrary, what happens when either party to a covenant dies? The covenant ends. Paul explains this in Romans 7. Was Jesus the God of the o.t.? Yes. Did he die? Yes. So that covenant ended. You cannot be held to the conditions of a covenant that is no longer in force, or a covenant you were never a party to.

And just what do you think baptism signified? The death of the old man, and through baptism, the (Jewish) Christian died to the law so that he/she could now be bound to Christ. But you would have Christians bound to both Christ and the law; spiritual adultery and idolatry.

And your insistence on keeping the law, including the sabbath, placed you under a curse; a veil before the eyes, blinding you to the truth as explained in II Corinthians 3. And even with me pointing this out to you, you still cannot comprehend the veil. Those who remain in what Moses wrote and taught have this veil before their eyes. And what did Moses write and teach? The law. Have you not read:

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Luke 16:16

From John the Baptist, the Law is not taught, but you believe it is.

You need to read Galatians 4:21 - 5:1 VERY CAREFULLY.

Those who hold to the old covenant are in bondage, and are the ones who harass Christians who do not keep the law, such as the sabbath. You allowed yourself to be tricked back into the bondage and yoke of the old covenant law.

.

What calender do you go by to determine the sabbath. The Gregorian Calender has had so many mistakes and adjustments how do yall know which day is the actual sabbath. If you are not keeping the actual sabbath then your breaking the law. I dont think even todays Jewish knows the actual Sabbath. That is why I live by faith not the law. If you live by the law you will be judged by the law. If you break any one of them you are doomed.

the jews go to snyagog....um most "main stream" christian churches will say that they have adapted the Sabbath to Sunday....that is not correct I agree with you. they will then argure that Christ came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it and use some miricals done on the sabbath to justify
you see they still think that adultery is bad
and lies
and murder
and idolitry....etc...we are just mistaken if we do not keep the sabbath Friday sundown to Saturday sundown...I do my best on this day to make it comfy and relaxed for my family though my husband does not seem to care about the sabbath he is off work on that day.
