At times, our physical and emotional state may require that we postpone some or even all of our work. Then, too, everyone needs an occasional break from the day-to-day routine. Even the Son of God was no exception. Jesus stayed very busy in his ministry, but he also allowed free time for himself and for his disciples. (Mark 6:31, 32) This type of respite is beneficial. Procrastination, however, is a different matter; usually it is harmful.
Ephesians 5:15-16 says - " So keep strict watch that how YOU walk is not as unwise but as wise [persons], buying out the opportune time for yourselves, because the days are wicked." (That capitalized YOU means he was talking to more than one person)
As far as rejection goes, these wise words from Paul found at Romans 8: 38-39 - "For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
And working hard is something everyone should do. Ephesians 4:28 says "Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him do hard work, doing with his hands what is good work, that he may have something to distribute to someone in need."

Well there are lots of verses on worry and anxiety. Instead of listing them, I will tell you to go to gotquestions.org and type in "Worry." Worry and anxiety are forms of practical atheism because you are saying that God can't control the situation and it is solely up to you OR that God doesn't care--which is wrong.
We are made perfect through our sufferings so don't think so negatively about trials in your life. For procrastination, proverbs has lots of verses on laziness.

i think these are the best ones i can give u...
Luke 22:46
And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Matthew 6:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Psalm 95:8
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
i understand what the person ur trying to help is getting at i do the same thing tell them first to pray then gain control on their priorities (or however u spell it) and if it ever gets to much to bare like their takin on everything at once then read:
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
**Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Psalm 143:10
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
Psalm 139:24
And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Psalm 139:10
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me
Psalm 27:11
Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
the rest of these arent really answering ur question but i hope they may can help

hmm. nope. i can tell you that that person needs to buckle down, and exchange his worthless social life and try to get smart so he MIGHT be able to function as a member of society. easier said then done i know, i've been there, kinda there now actually, but i know the only person that can save me is myself. not some "higher power".
