Are there other ways to get to heaven, and to have everlasting life with God?

I know faith in Christ, and following Christ's teachings is oneway. Are there other ways?

nope. Here's the interesting part though. Since you "know" how to get to Heaven you have to make a choice. You are no longer like a child or a native in a foreign land that has never heard of Christ. Your destiny is all up to you. I wonder what you will choose?

You are on the right track. But you should dig deeper to understand what this faith is precisely about. Once you do that, you will realize why it is impossible to reach God any other way. It has to do with the idea of atonement for our sins. I highly recommend you read a classic book which is an allegory of what it means to be a Christian called "The Pilgrim's Progress" by John Bunyan. It should be available at any major bookstore as well as online for free (public domain).

Blessings,

Jack

PS. Remember, those who sincerely seek, do find.

There are no contemporary writings of Jesus. The canonical gospels were written decades after Jesus supposedly died, and certainly not by any of Jesus' disciples. Josephus's writings of Jesus were very likely inserted by Christians long after his death. Even if he did write about Jesus, it was not done for decades after Jesus died (he was born in 37 AD). Your "eyewitness" accounts are little more than anecdotal stories passed from one person to another to another to another until someone wrote them down. Then they were translated time and time again. Have you ever played a game of telephone? You know... where one person whispers something into someone's ear, then they whisper it into another persons ear and so on? By the time the message gets to the last person, it's always very different than the original. Imagine a game of telephone that has been played out over centuries and in different languages. We have no proof that Jesus actually existed. If he did, do you honestly think that he performed the "miracles" that you believe he did? Is it not more possible that people embellished a little with each retelling, or forgot a little here and there and then inserted their own bits?

No there are no other ways to get to Heaven; the Bible is clear; Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, but by Me." And another verse says "the only way to the Father is through the Son." Jesus is without sin. Therefore, He was able to pay the penalty for our sins on the cross. Sins must be paid for or there is no eternal life for anyone. We accept Jesus sacrifice on the cross to pay for our sins by faith. It is by this faith that we are saved. Let no one deceive you; 2 Thes 2:2-12; Satan will come in the last days and use every form of deception on the world. Know the truth, stand on it, no matter what happens, no matter who you talk to, no matter what signs and wonders you may see in the last days; no matter what theories and reasonings come your way; 2 Cor 10:3-5 casting down every thought and imagination which tries to exalt itself against the true knowledge of God.

The Christian faith as with almost all other Monotheistic faiths believe that only the one God is the way to heaven. I personally am a Christian and I believe that Christ is the only way to go to heaven.

I'm sure that other beliefs have other ways of getting to their "heaven"

you have to believe in Jesus, be baptized, and filled with the Holy Ghost, as well as have works. like go to church, pray, help others, witness, etc.

many people think that all you have to do is believe in Jesus. but there is more to it. it does say if you believe you should have everlasting life. however read it again. it says should not will. just like below were i posted it says he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. again it says shall. that means you can loose your salvation as well as i believe that is the first step towards salvation. i think you have to live christ like and repent and turn away from your sins.

I always wondered about this. If Christ is the only way to heaven - then what about tribes in rural territories that have no access to this information??? However, if you are aware of Christ, then you have been given the gift. You can study the "Course in Miracles" - it has alot of interesting "off the wall" information.

See if you can see another way in this:
17 "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

By the words of Jesus who is called the Christ, can you interpret this to say that there is another way?

No.The only way is to believe that He died for you on the cross.Everyone is a sinner and no one can get to Heaven by following rules because no one is perfect but Jesus is perfect and He died for us on the cross so we could be forgiven for our sins so that if we believe in Him we can go to Heaven.
