i too have not had a good childhood and past and finding inner peace has to come within yourself if your still holding on to the past try to let it go and make a new begining no matter how many therapist and people you talk to only you have the power to take control of your life if you are happy now and can let things go you have found inner peace if there are things or people holding you back clear them out of your life there no good anyway. just open your mind and soul if you believe in god then try your religon for spiritual guidence or plain and simple do what makes you happy thats the key or you will end up unhappy

Accept them as an experience in your life, if they are bad memories let them go, if they are good memories use them to your advantage, happiness and inner peace is something that is chosen to be, you do have a choice of living in the past or souring to the future, because we are not at fault from our childhood past, but we can change our future, peace be with you on your journey.

Hi,
First of all forgive all those who have hurt you in anyway,shape or form.I know that it is hard.But the Bible says that God gorgives us as we forgive others,and to the same degree.When we forgive others as well as ourselves.That is when we find inner peace and happiness.
God forgives all our sins.Psalms 103:3When we come to Christ we are a new creation.Go to church,and read your Bible every day.Go to Bible studies so you can understand what it means.
May God bless you in all that you do.May you come to know Christ in a greater way!

While I can't begin to know about your childhood and past events...
If you want to be truly happy, give yourself to God. If you'll let God control your life, you will find what you seek and if that is being happy then you will be happy.

that could help
its always a good thing to know that no matter hw lonely you are your never loney, you have GOD
ps. i dont beleive in jesus being god
theres only one god and he has no children
im muslim and a devoted one
but that is my choice, my religion
dont follow blindly
